12 team full ppr league and I had 12th pick. For some reason Zeke slid to me and Saquan was also available for my back to back picks. The value of the potential upside getting both of them end of 1st start of 2 nd round versus losing my league in my first two picks if Saquan and Dak gets hurt again.

You take them both. I know there's concern about Barkley being ready at the beginning of the season but at the 12/13 turn, I'm willing to take that chance.

I wish and how the hell did both slide that far in a 12 team league?

Is it troll the fantasy board day today? This doesn’t seem very believable.

No troll. I panicked when I saw Zeke there. Started trying to search internet for some injury I may have missed. This was thru Yahoo and last couple days they have had Barkley ranked 12 so that wasn’t that big a shock to me that both were there. I couldn’t pull the trigger. I’m too risk adverse in my thinking. I took Zeke and Najee Harris.

Oh ok, I thought you were asking if taking both of them was a screw up, not if passing on Saquon was a mistake. I don’t think any reasonable person would have passed up Zeke at that spot. Passing on Barkley isn’t a terrible idea, I’d have probably took the gamble at that spot but I can see why you’d be weary.

Yeah just never in a million years thought Zeke would have slipped to 12. Based on Yahoo’s rankings I knew there was a chance Barkley was going to be there and my original plan was to take him at 12 then Najee Harris with 13. Didn’t mind one of my top two being a bit of a risk. But when Zeke slid, as tempting as it was I just couldn’t do it. Although I guess in hindsight, Najee being a rookie is a risk in itself. I kept asking everyone why they were passing on ZEKE and what was I missing and they all just said it was cause he had bad year last year. I told them I agreed and that’s why he had been going around 5 on most peoples boards. Easily a top 3 when he is playing with a healthy Dak and behind a healthy line, which he should be again this year. At 12 he was an absolute steal.

RBs are obviously strong, but I’m confused how your WRs are so weak. There should have been two strong starters there at your 3/4 turn, yet Tyler Boyd is your WR2. Did you take Kyler there?

With Zeke falling to 12, I think you missed an opportunity to have an absolute monster of a 12 team squad. Just kinda looks average with those WRs.

Great QB
Great RBs (not great depth)
Above average to solid TE
Really weak WRs

Taking najee there was the mistake. You could have had a monster wr 1. Hell najee with the pittsburgh offense is more risky than Barkley IMO

I took Cooper Kupp and Murray at the 3/4 turn. Kupp was best wr still on board. If I had taken a stud wr at 2, then my RB would have been even weaker and I felt Wr was so deep that one of the guys I got later would hit and make up for it. I wanted one of the top 5 QB. Last few years in this league I waited on QB and wanted to change my strategy up this year. Knew Mahomes would be gone by end of 3rd and was shooting for Allen. He went pick before me. If I passed on Murray, then was taking to big risk of Wilson being there at last pick of rd 5.

Sounds like you went after certain names no matter their cost instead of letting the draft come to you. Really missed a chance to dominate, IMO. There’s plenty of viable QB starters later in the draft:

Brady
Tanny
Hurts
Stafford

I’ve been taking one of those then Trey Lance at the end as a dart throw.

Should have been two or something like these at the turn:

Woods
Kupp
Cooper
DJ Moore
Lockett
Diontae

Two of that tier and then maybe a QB at your 5/6 and I’d like your team a lot better. QB/Mike Davis the. WR/WR at 7/8, late TE. I’m not sold on Andrews.

You take him.
I had the first pick of a 10 man league. I got McCaffery at 1 then Barkley at 20!! I hit submit as fast as I could at 20!
Ended up with:
QB - Tannehill, J. Fields
RB - McCaffrey, Barkley, Carson, M. Carter, Z. Moss, C Hubbard
WR - A. Robinson, B. Aiyuk, Higgins, Golladay, Beckham, M. Thomas
TE - D. Waller

Yea no kidding. I kept finding guys that I was able to draft a whole round or two later than I valued them at really.

Crazy that you got CMC, Saquon, Waller, and your WRs are still pretty strong. How does one get into a league like that? Lol

Pretty strong might be an overstatement, but they’re not bad, all things considered.

Zeke slide to 10 last night in my draft I was at 12. I went Austin Eckler and nick Chubb at the 1/2 turn.
