What are your thoughts on trades with guy in first and a guy in last?

Just wanted to hear your thoughts on this. In both scenarios the trade is favoring the guy in first. Guy in last place in one league is 1-6 the other is 0-7. 0 chance of them making playoffs and no real incentive to not stay in last place (no punishment)

Me personally if I am in last place at this point in the season I will Not trade. I actually finished last place in a league for the first time ever last year outta 40ish seasons. I will let the others play it out. I would want and Expect others to do the same but I realise that many don’t have the same moral
Compass that I do when it comes to fantasy sports.

Can 7-6 overall record realistically make the playoffs in your league (assuming last regular season week is week 13)? If so, no issues at all with that 1-6 guy trying to trade until he is mathematically eliminated if he is doing everything he can to win out.

doubtful that we are in the same league.

the 0-7 guy is out 100% and the 1-6 guy is out because it's a 10 man league with 4 going to playoffs. He traded David Johnson away for Marlon Mack.

If teams are mathematically out they shouldn’t be trading. I’m anti vetoing trades, but this is a no brainer. Even if there are last place consequences I wouldn’t allow teams to trade. Use the waiver wire but no trades.

Just because a trade is favoring one person, it doesn't mean the other isn't benefiting too.

Agree. Many seem to think bad trades should be vetoed
