Yes, it is an accumulation of stats.
For example, let's use a pretend ten team league with two categories. If your team leads the league in home runs, then you will get 10 points for that category. Also, if your team is last in ERA, then your team will get will get 1 point for that category. Your team score will be 11 points out of a possible 20. The highest team score wins. Somewhat unlike a h2h, it is very, very risky to punt a category, and it is pretty much always a bad decision. There are no weekly matchups or playoffs.
I like roto because there is no dumb luck affecting your team one way or the other. Either way, the scoring is not complicated and the goal is to put the best team on the field that will give you the best combo of all the categories.

sweet i had a draft on the 25th but it got pushed back to the 26th. 4 drafts this year, my wife sure hates march.

Do you think that league will be pushed back to 9 or not? I think the latest I would want to start the draft would be 10 E/ 9 C.
Basically, we can try to make this league start 30 or maybe even 60 minutes later. That should help.

I'd prefer it stays on the 25th... if it moves to a day that I can't draft I'll probably bail. Can't really autopick in an auction draft.

It is staying on the 25th. Everyone can make it as far as I know. One guy has another draft, but at least he is still at a computer.
