I'm not sure, I think they was two different bills proposed on how it'll be taxed. Abramson amended a tax today in the Talbout bill that was passed that if neither of those two tax bills make it through there would be a zero tax. Which I guess gives them more incentive to pass one of the two. A no tax would make zero money for the state.

I think the bill that passed was sports betting inside casinos. The only bill out for dfs is the tax gaming bill. The sports betting would be the same thing where parishes would likely vote in November.

I spent 3-4 hours of my Tuesday watching the entire process. It was painful

Martiny's sports gambling bill was voted 11-6 in favor yesterday

Talbout's fantasy bill was voted 70-28 yesterday.

The only bill out for dfs is the tax gaming bill.

That bill is up for vote today. (Abramson)

So can someone give me an update on what’s going on? My understanding is bills are in to have DFS only in casinos? Did this pass??

Ok that was the second bill. Looks like that one may pass. I was under the assumption only one was getting voted on.

Its just for a second reading which doesn't mean much. They'll read it then place a date on it for when it's to come up for a vote. The third reading is when the vote is issued.

I also don't think Louisiana residents will be able to play until the geofencing is established hopefully by the Fall.

Legalized Sports Gambling Tax vote will be Tuesday. Talked to Rep Marino who's bill it is and he's confident he'll get the votes.

That would be good news for Martiny's bill which legalizes it. That wont be voted on until Thursday-Friday

I’ve got word it’s passing. July 1 start unless Gov retracts to as signed.

15k annually and 15%.
