They probably have that done. They’ve been knowing the parishes in which the vote passed

25% is very aggressive. I believe 15% is the highest number in any other state. We're going to tax DFS operators 67% more than anyone else?

My understanding is this is what DFS site operators will pay on revenue generated in Louisiana. It won't be a direct tax on players, but I wouldn't be surprised if the cost gets passed down by way of increased rake.

Sites will pay 15% on the revenue from the state. Where does it say 25% I haven’t went back to read. Just the amendments.

Talbot successfully stripped language added to his proposal in committee that would have limited playing the online sports contests for cash prizes only in video poker or other locations requiring people to be at least 21. Talbot said such limitations undermined what Louisiana’s residents supported in the election.

“They did not vote for this,” he said.

The tax bill received an 81-16 vote Wednesday. It would set a 15% tax rate on net gaming proceeds, with 10% going to state coffers for early childhood education and 5% to parish government agencies.

Why is there another house bill? What is different in this one compared to the one that already passed?

No idea. I tried asking with no answer. One may just be tax and where the funds go. One may be on control?

Looks like they have added a hitchhiker amendment to add gambling to one of the fantasy bills (HB459).
