Which bat do I keep this year? Pretty much standard Yahoo! league (R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OPS)

TIA

Not Harper. Trout and Soto are both so fantastic, I can’t go against either.

Harper is great too, but the other two are a step above.

It’s tough looking at the numbers from last year’s abbreviated season. My gut is telling me Trout because he’s Trout, but I know Soto is a stud too.

Is it a one year keeper or can you continue keeping this player indefinitely?

Both Soto and Trout were on stupid 162 game paces last season

2020 Trout 162 game adjusted numbers

125 R
51 HR
140 RBI
3 SB
281
993

Soto

134 R
44 HR
127 RBI
20 SB
351
1.185

Can’t go wrong

But what if Soto runs more, and what if he’s really a perennial batting champion that can hit 350?

At this point, we kinda know Trout has slowed down his running to preserve his body and as good as he is the best he’s hit in his career was 326

Who is hitting in the better lineup? Bell and Schwarber now behind Soto. Turner in front

Trout gets Otani back and a full season of Rendon. David Fletcher in front

Keeper might bump Soto a frog hair above Trout. But part of Trout’s value (aside from insane numbers) is his floor, which is higher than anyone in recent memory. Trout and Soto are both OPS monsters.

Harper doesn’t belong in the conversation with these 2.

Trout.

If it were long term dynasty type thing... Soto.

Harper doesn't belong in this conversation.

I think I would lean Trout if it is just for 2021 (since you said one-year keeper). But, I have also never had Trout in fantasy, and it honestly just seems fun af.
