in this instance, yes. It's not rewarding mediocrity though.

just more fun.

does this shite really work on people?

i could give 2 shits if you play or not. I really dont think you follow football much therefore like the protection of keeping 2,3, or 4 players you may luck into acquiring during a season.

However I thnk its bullshite to sell your team. I'd rather just vote you out and find someone that wants to play. Dont be a dick about it.

sure it is. a dynasty league is the best possible way to reward success and having no keepers is the best possible way to reward mediocrity. owners who have good drafts, make good drafts, etc. should not be penalized every year.

thats relative so i can't debate that.

won the league more times than you.

using your logic, couldn't i say everyone else is being a dick for changing things up?

being in the majority doesn't make you a non-dick anymore than it makes me the dick. its just a difference of opinion.

its not always about rewarding success.

if you start fresh every year, everyone is on the same page. I dont see why someone needs to be rewarded for having a good year the year before.

possibly, i wouldnt know. I have never played a season in this football league.

I dont think you are a dick because you dont want to play. I already stated I do not care.

I think you are a dick for trying to sell your team and going out like a ninny baby. Thats pretty gay.

hmm. circular. lets go again..

so you do prefer a system that slightly rewards mediocrity over a system that slightly rewards success?

quote:

if you start fresh every year, everyone is on the same page. I dont see why someone needs to be rewarded for having a good year the year before

next year, drop all your keepers in TDBL.

quote:

I think you are a dick for trying to sell your team and going out like a ninny baby. Thats pretty gay

would i be less of a baby if i sent in a neatly signed resignation letter? is it possible for one to disagree w/ changes to a league and quit w/o being a gay baby? why are you not a dick for quitting?

I prefer to have no keepers in football.

baseball and basketball are a lot different. Your shitty record in football tells that enough.

you can try and strategize all you want in football, but it really doesnt work regardless if you keep no one or a few players.

As far as rewards, you get a reward for winning the league or having the most points, or whatever else.

Everything doesn't have to carry over all the time. How much reward do you need?

baseball is so much different than football. As is basketball.

you could just say "hey i dont like those rules, I am not going to play".

rather than trying to sell your team off to some schmuck.

That can be corrected.

Good luck selling it....I will be sure to tell whoever you are in talks with to buy it that them giving you money doesnt guarantee a spot.

We have to agree to the owner.

keep messin....i'll delete your log in TONIGHT!

if we go to 12 in each conference, the top 6 scoring teams each week would get a win and the bottom 6 would get a loss. instead of the same old head to head, you would be playing against the entire league (or conference in this case).

..even though I'm not in the league.

Another way is to use an all-play record. Your score vs the other 11 guys in the conference. You're the highest score that week, you're 11-0; the lowest and you're 0-11. Tally up the records throughout the regular season.

Best record at the end moves on.
