Have we discussed conference alignment after the first season? Some people patience may wear thin if a league becomes too inflated with quality players.

Wouldn't it be more "even" to have the odds from one conference matched with the evens from the other and vice versa?

OFFICIAL CONSTITUTION OF THE TIGER DROPPINGS FOOTBALL LEAGUE (TDFL)
I. Overview
A. TDFL is a league consisting of 24 teams and two conferences. Each conference has it's own player pool with each team having a total of 16 NFL players (including team defenses).
B. Teams will play against every team in their confernece each week. The top 6 scoring teams per conference get a win, and the bottom 6 get a loss. If there is a tie between the 6th and 7th scoring teams, they will receive a tie.
II. Draft
A. Draft Order
1. The draft order will be randomized every year after conferences have been selected. Conferences will be also be randomly assigned before the start of each season.
2. The draft is a snake format, and lasts 16 rounds.
3. Each selection has a 90 second time limit.
C. Draft pick trading
1. Draft picks may be traded at any time before the draft.
2. It is the responsibility of the commissioner to keep up with all trades that occur before the league website officially allows picks to change hands. These trades are to be documented on the League Message Center on the league webpage.
III. Roster Requirements
A. Starting Lineups
1. All teams starting lineups must consist of the following players
a. One quarterback
b. Two running backs
c. Two wide receivers
d. One tight end
e. One flex player (RB/WR/TE)
f. One team defense/special teams
g. One kicker
2. Lineup deadline is five minutes before game time for each player.
3. Illegal lineups will result in that team receiving zero points for the week.
B. Reserves
1. Each team must carry seven reserve players at all times.
2. There is no injured reserve slot in this league.
IV. Scoring (Decimal System)
A. Passing
1. .04 points per yard passing (rounded up to the nearest tenth of a point).
2. 6 points per touchdown
3. 2 points per two-point conversion
4. -2 points per interception
5. -2 points per fumble lost
B. Rushing
1. .10 points for every yard rushing
2. 6 points per touchdown
3. 2 points per two-point conversion
4. -2 points per fumble lost
C. Receiving
1. .10 points per yard receiving
2. 1 point per reception
3. 6 points per touchdown
4. 2 points per two-point conversion
5. -2 points per fumble lost
D. Kicking
1. 1 point per extra point made
2. 3 points per FG made under 50 yards
3. 4 points per FG made 50 yards or more
4. -2 points per FG missed 20 yards or less
5. -1 point per FG missed over 20 yards
6. -4 points per extra point missed
E. Defense/Special Teams
1. 1 point per sack
2. 2 points per interception
3. 2 points per fumble recovery
4. 4 points per safety
5. 6 points per touchdown via interception return, defensive fumble return, punt return, kick return, blocked field goal return, blocked punt return.
6. Points allowed scoring
a. 10 points for allowing between 0-6 points
b. 8 points for allowing between 7-13 points
c. 4 points for allowing between 14-20 points
d. 0 points for allowing between 21-27 points
e. -4 points for allowing 28 points or more
F. Special Rules
1. All special teams and defensive points are awarded to the team responsible, and not the individual player.
2. Should a kicker, punter, or field goal holder throw a pass off of a fake attempt, the offensive output on that play would go towards the individual player and not the defensive/special team.
3. Any lost fumble or muff on a special teams play does not result in negative points for that individual player.
4. Any scoring situation not addressed in the constitution will automatically default to what the league website determines the scoring to be.
V. Scheduling
A. Regular Season
1. The regular season will run between weeks one and twelve.
2. Six teams will qualify for the playoffs per conference
3. Tiebreaker method to determine playoff teams will total points scored.
B. Playoffs
1. The playoffs will start in week thirteen and last four weeks.
2. The top 6 teams in each conference make the playoffs. The top two teams in each conference will receive first round byes.
3. Each round, the top half scoring teams in each conference will advance to the next round.
4. The winners of each conference will play each other in week 16 to determine the Super Bowl. The two conference runner ups will play each other to determine third place.
VI. Free Agency
A. Any player not on a team roster is considered a free agent.
B. Free agent pickups will be handled using a waiver wire process, run automatically by the league website.
VII. Trades
A. All trades must be agreed upon before the first NFL game of Week Ten.
B. To minimize the possibility of collusion, a trade is automatically vetoed if it receives at least five vetoes.
VIII. Finances
A. Entry Fee
1. League fee is $100.00 and is due August 19th.
2. League fees are to be paid directly to the commissioner.
B. Prize Breakdown
1. First place: $1215.00
2. Second place: $500.00
3. Third place: $250.00
4. Highest Points (each conference): $150.00
IX. Rule Changes
A. Rule changes during the season require a 3/4ths approval vote to pass.
B. Rule changes during the off-season require a 2/3rds approval to pass.
