Thomas nominated pitta w a bid of $12 and was awarded pitta. Claimed he meant to bid $2 (why bid $2 and not $1 on Dennis pitta, idk) and not $12... Or he realized he set his price too high when no one else was bidding on the guy.. I guess you can interpret that however you will. Anyways, he calls for the draft to be stopped, LE stops it and decides to give him his $10 back and awards him pitta for $2.
Just something that should've been left alone. If he would've bid $62 or some shite, ok obvious accident. $12 could go either way but the owner should not get the benefit of the doubt in that situation

and the reason was valid to throw it out at $2 to try and save a buck and not have to spend $3 when he gets outbid from the $1 nomination

seriously? look at the comp tight ends at the time. witten went for $6, reed for $5 i doubt he was setting the market with Pitta for $12

Yea, I accidentally bid on Malcom Floyd when I meant to bid on Michael Floyd. I asked the commish to fix it and he said..............too bad, so sad.

I didn't get awarded the player, we redid the bid.
I wanted to nominate him for 2, because I didn't think anyone would go 3.
I did think that if I bid 1, then someone would have bid 2. No way in hell I was nominating him for 12 dollars when all other TEs outside the top 4 were under 10 dollars.....

Maybe he really wanted Pitta? If the market was so low why not steal him at 1? I mean Witten went for 6 ya know?
Posted on 8/19/14 at 12:29 am to abellsujr
i did a double check on floyd when bidding to make sure no one tried that

because someone could have upbid it at $2 and then he goes $3. he was trying to save a buck by starting the market at $2 that way if he was upbid he wouldnt have to spend $4. its a common auction strat

Greg Olsen went for $9 shortly after pitta......
Posted on 8/19/14 at 12:31 am to GynoSandberg
you through out some whooper opening bids to get your guys and i understand where you are coming from but you have to believe there is no way he thought he needed to throw out $12 for Pitta

didn't DJ have a frickin wad of cash to spend at that point when he bought olsen

Or he and pitta were the last two competent startableTEs? Make sure you aren't stuck with nothing.
DJs money or my whopper nominations have nothing to do with this. We wouldn't have to speculate shite if Thomas nominates the proper bid price or if he takes his mistake on the chin and LE doesn't give him his money vack

he said immediately he fricked up. its not like he watched the clock and realized no one was going to bid. you are fighting a losing argument on this one and im sure most of the league agrees. even when he threw out that bid the chats were basically a big wtf response
Posted on 8/19/14 at 12:40 am to GynoSandberg
What was the buy in for this league? Just curious.
Posted on 8/19/14 at 12:41 am to GynoSandberg
It's not like DJ couldn't have outbid me when the nomination was reset. Hell, you could have bid 3 dollars and had him yourself.
And if you have read any of my explanations CE is entirely correct about why I wanted 2 dollars instead of 1.

I think Thomas should give up half his FAAB money for this move.
