My case against OPS is simply that it skews power, when power is already appropriately accounted for via HR/RBI (for the most part). It devalues the McCutchens and Eatons of the world who are R(un) machines who get on base all the time. My two cents.

K's win out. It's 5 votes in this thread so far and Lindor Truffles and I are going that way as well.
I'm with MWG on SV+HLD. If the league were deeper, I'd swing that way but not in a 12.
So far we have 4 for OBP and 6 for OPS. Knock out this last category, get paid up, and we can start Monday if you guys want. If a couple of stragglers want to join, we'll give it til Sunday. If not, we'll roll with the 12 we have.

Tbh I’ve never done OPS before. It’s always been OBP with power being accounted for in HR/rbi/runs as Grits mentioned. Seems like it would totally change the way you value players In a draft

I know papz mentioned starting Monday but just a heads up I’ve got a chemo treatment Monday morning so I may not be 100% active for a day or 2. I should be able to make first and second round pick though with research ahead of time depending on my draft spot, just didn’t know how fast you guys were expecting to go

Hope everything goes well. It doesn’t have to be Monday... it was just an option. It’s a slow draft anyways and we have plenty of time before the season starts. Do your thing.

I was hoping worst case scenario is that we get 12-ish posters from this board and then can open it to the public & have randoms jump in to fill the rest. But youre right - interest from this board seems too low even for that
