??? you and maybe Toula are the only ones that have had any heartburn over changing the league no?

Karma, Gyno and Matt have all said similar things in regards to pick trading. I think it's strange that you are against making any kind of change. The league, as is, needs improvement. Maybe it's something small like starting with the consolation bracket results going towards draft order. I don't think we need to blow the league up, but then again just a week ago there were people who were on the fence about this league and considered starting a new one.

i mean we could just ban/limit pick trades involving players from the date your team is out of title opportunity until after the draft

too vague and too open to interpretation.

I agree.

If we limit pick trading it needs to be something like you can only trade one pick, or maybe you can only receive one pick upgrade. Like if I sell out, I have one opportunity to trade a player for a pick. Teams could sell out but they couldn't just get down to complete shite.

i thought the issue that started this discussion was started with deadline deals where really good players get dealt for 5th/6th round picks

why don't we just re-institute voting on trades?

Id say recouping draft picks is not as easy as gyno suggests

I have a terrible track record of recouping picks.

Aside from season 4 draft, I have never had a full allotment of picks...I just wtfpwn.

If someone wants to sell out who are we to stop them? Did they not pay their $100? As long as they have rebuilding plan I say have at it.

On the other hand, if someone wants to go on a spending spree and completely hamstring next years draft that's their prerogative. Hell if they're slick enough to be able to recoup a couple of those picks back or use the picks to improve their keepers, I'll tip my hat to them. I'll disagree with Toulas point and say that does indeed take strategy.
