Start a new league next year with rosters carried over and expanded rosters. Whoever doesn't want expanded rosters gives their team up

Then you'd have an 8 man league. Right up your alley with the type of leagues you win.

8 man leagues are harder to win than 12 but someone with your level of knowledge wouldn't know that. When every team is loaded the weekly variance is more likely to catch up with you and the 'best team' lose than when the talent is more spread out and you can really separate your team from others.(ie larger leagues)

Assuming football ... In a 8 man league every team will be good. You can lose to any team any week. In a 14 team league there's gonna be some real bad teams. If you are a below average player you are better off in an 8 team league bc you can put a great team together even if you dunno what you're doing. In a 14 teamer it really seaparates the good players from bad and a bad owner will never win a 14 teamer. 8 teamer more prone to luck i.e. Variance.
