You just accept that those things have happened and move forward.
As commish, I have a hard time swallowing the fact that owners made moves pre-draft, during draft, and now after the draft under the current roster constraints. And then changing league rules that would have changed the course for a lot of these decisions.

We have 3 months before the season. If this doesn't give any one team an advantage why wait until next year?

You can pretend to rewind to a few days ago and add 2 rounds, no difference really
This is the only way it can be done. But the owners who have made waiver claims or free agent pick-ups will oppose.

You can't rewind the draft
picks will definitely fall differently even in round 1 especially if we wait a few weeks. Certain guys will be stock up others will be stock down.

I have never been a commish before so I can't really relate.

Not the draft. Day after draft concluded

I love watching this Lakers summer league team. Nance is going to be a player in the league.
I added him at the end of last year - just taking a flier on him. But I think he could end up being a summer league allstar and a regular season bench warmer for his career. This is how SL can be deceptive.
ETA: Nance suffered a fracture to the base of his right hand in Thursday's summer league game against the Cavaliers, Mike Trudell of ESPN reports.

By rewind I just meant let the moves stand and go from there. They went down fairly via the waiver order, then anyone could've added the FA. I can't pick out the guy who was added that would cause a hang up
As for G$, you are essentially adding 2 FA. You proceed the same way you would adding any player, you don't need research.

Ex. Simmons gets hurt.
Now tbm takes Ingram and MWG misses out on his guy. Fratty had Dunn. Now he can't get him because MWG took him. Etc. Etc.

Right, I really don't understand how this would be an issue, but we already have people against it "just because".

You are missing it dude. Nobody is proposing we redraft.

Well you can trade him to me if you want.

Those people can opt to add back those guys, but forfeit their pick(s)
That could fix it, if we do it now.

So you back out the guys who have been picked up since the draft and now everyone is looking into those players and who gets them is determined randomly by who gets the higher pick? Nah.

3 other people put claims on him for no reason?

You allow the teams that dropped a player the option to pick up the player they dropped and count it as one of their 2 draft picks.
Rosters would stay as is IMO.

Geez
Say I wanted to add hibbert back to my team, who I dropped. I would then forfeit my 1st pick
No one is taking away anything

None of these moves would have happened had we put this 2 rd expansion draft in place before our new season started.
The draft serves one purpose - Give teams an equal chance at improving 2 spots of their roster. Now that waivers and free agency has started, teams have chosen to add guys to improve additional spots of their roster. (which rules allow)
There's no way you let that stand and then start another 2 round draft.
The top undrafted guys have all been selected, and not all teams had an equal opportunity to add then based on the existing rules.
