Hmmm, Duncan + 2016 2nd rounder + Gary Harris + Shabazz Muhammad ended up netting me Booker and Tobias Harris

We don't have to mention the bad trades I've made tho

ROUND 1:

quote:

1 - TBM - Ben Simmons

Consensus #1. Think he will fits cats across the board day 1. Top 40 player as soon as this year, potential top 10 in a few years.

Wont be dropped rookie year

quote:

2 - MWG - Brandon Ingram

I think Ingram would be serviceable year 1, with steady improvement through the first few years. I *dont even think his size is that big of a deal. Based on PT and most of his skills translating, Im thinking top 75 for him this year.

Wont be dropped rookie year

quote:

3 - Frat - Kris Dunn

I have Dunn making the biggest fantasy impact after Simmons. FG% could hurt, but if he knows his role, he should be solid across the board. Don't like the idea of Rubio splitting time, and he'll be there 3 more seasons as of now. If Dunn can get that 25mpg I see him between 50-75 on the PR his rookie year

Wont be dropped rookie year

quote:

4 - PCT - Buddy Hield

The opportunity will be there for Hield day 1. I worry somewhat about his size and ability to score on bigger defenders. I think he may be better IRL than fantasy. Of course he is a hard worker and a knock down shooter, so Gentry should get him those open looks that EG10 and Anderson got last year. I have him out of the top 100, but I think he can grow into a top 75 type guy

Wont be dropped rookie year

quote:

5 - Lou T - Jamal Murray (trades to Toula)

I kind of share similar thoughts on Murray as I do on Hield. I do like his ability to pass, but Mudiay is their PG, so unless Murray is running with the 2s idk if he's handling the ball. I also like Barton and Beasley out there, and Harris to a lesser extent. Going to take some time to see how things shake up out there.

Could see him being dropped rookie year based on lack of PT

quote:

6 - PCT - Thon Maker

Very intriguing player, lighting up scrubs in the SL right now. At 7'1", the size is there to at least block shots. That alone brings fantasy value. I think he can chip in in some areas starting year 1, but unlike Ingram, size matters more with what he's trying to do. I see him reaching full potential once that body matures (or if he's already 23, maybe it won't lol)

Wont be dropped rookie year

quote:

7 - CWill - Jaylen Brown

Piggybacking off what I said earlier, I think he's a few years away, but should be able to chip in early on. If he can get to the line like he has in SL, that will be an asset. I know we draw J Butler comps, guys who kinda played out of position in college and needs to find their grove in different way.

Could see him dropped if he really doesnt get PT

quote:

8 - Papps - Dragan Bender

Not going to pretend to know too much about Bender, except you gotta love the size and skills. He's still young, so we will probably be waiting a year or two. But I think he falls to the better side of Euro boom or bust

Based on age, Im going to say not dropped

quote:

9 - Toula - Dejuente Murray (trades to Lou)

As I said, gotta love the players measurements and getting drafted to SA. Play behind Parker and with those other guys, coached by Popp. It will be hard to frick that up unless he's a shithead

A known long play, doubt he's dropped

quote:

10 - Boom - Dario Saric (trades to Papps)

I like Saric, I think he has some Kristaps to him. That would be nice value at 10. I also think PHI has a lot of players to sort through as far as playing time goes. Im not sure if Saric even comes over this year, much less earns PT off the bat. I see him being a top 40 talent somewhere down the line. TBH I like him most that went in front of him

I think boom has more patience than others, wont be dropped

quote:

11 - Matt - Marquese Chriss

Has a chance to be a nice little player once he develops those skills and learns how to play. Athletic big whose shot is developing. PT will be an issue off the bat, so we may be looking at year 3 for Chriss to truly show what he can do.

Could see him being traded to 21JS

quote:

12 - Toula - Denzel Valentine

Wouldve liked this pick more a week ago before Rondo and Wade came aboard. Still, he should be able to get some run in different sets. Wade always hurt, too. I think his is a solid grab at the 12 spot, since Valentine can fill up the cats. His size is a little worrisome a la Hield and Murray, but i really think he plays PG the majority of his minutes.

Wont be dropped

quote:

13 - TBM - Jacob Poeltl

I felt Poeltl was BPA. Seems TOR hates letting JV play 30+, so Im thinking Jakob gets some run off the bat. Rare big that wont kill FT%, but should contribute nicely in the big man cats. Defense alone should get him on the floor

Will probably be dropped

quote:

14 - Toula - Timothe Luwawu

Another upside guy that may take some time, and also gets thrown into the jumble that is PHI. Havent seen much of him, but I did some reading a lot of guys are down on the pick. Touls told me he sees some Batum there, so if he can come close to that, he will be value in the fantasy game.

Probably dropped or traded to 21JS

Would shite my pants if Saric showed some Staps this season.

I came out of the draft with Bender, Saric, Skal, and Brice Johnson.... so if someone is selling guards (PG), I'm buying

quote:

1 - TBM - Tyler Johnson

No one else really moved it for me, and I wanted to handcuff my Richardson move. Riley giving him the contract tells me he wants to build around him as one of the young pieces. Athletic with a decent shot, I think he does well with minutes.

im thinking hold

quote:

2 - 21JS - Wade Baldwin IV

Underrated guy, could be that one we look back on and say I wish I wouldve grabbed him. With PT down the line, he could contribute across the board. Think he's with a good team for him

probably dropped

quote:

3 - Papps - Skal Labissiere

Watched some SL tape on him, he looked ok, but idk if it translates vs NBA guys. Similar to Maker. I think his best work probably comes in a few year.

drop

quote:

4 - Boom - Jonathon Simmons

Good player, PT is an issue. He can really shoot, though. If he ever gets a chance he could be a decent player.

drop

quote:

5 - PCT - Domantas Sibonis

Technical big, some skills will translate. I think he will do a little of everything, but nothing great. Kinda reminds me of Nick Collison, something between when he was good in SEA and now in OKC.

hold if the PT is there

quote:

6 - 21JS - Caris Levert

Obviously in a good spot in GS. Dont know when he gets a chance behind the studs. Maybe in a few years

Drop

quote:

7 - CWill - Juan Hernangomez

Dont think he comes over this season and DEN has a lot of bodies already. A lot of guys are high on him, time should tell.

drop

quote:

8 - PCT - Malachi Richardson

A lot of upside and physical tools. Needs some refining though. Dont like the fact he's in SAC, that doesnt help imo.

drop

quote:

9 - Papps - Brice Johnson

Good pick here. May actually have a path to playing time, too. At worst he should block some shots and rebound. If he gets a chance to play a little with CP3, who knows

should get modest PT, id say hold

quote:

10 - Boom - PASS

quote:

11 - PCT - Henry Ellenson

Reminds me a bit of Ryan Anderson. Can shoot a little, has some size, not overly athletic. PT will be an issue off the bat. A lot of DET people like him, ive seen some skepticism from national guys

drop

quote:

12 - Thom - DeAndre Bembry

Toolsy guy, I could see him getting run at different spots this season. Kinda like a Valentine.

think he could help a little this year, hold

quote:

13 - PCT - Sergio Rodriguez

I do not know who this is

quote:

14 - Mattyv - Malik Beasley

Good pick this far down. Think at full health he could pose a threat to the SG position. A lot of people said he could be best SG in the draft. Not sure how long it will take to get a chance though

drop

He's with the Nets, hoping he can steal the SG spot.

was doing it off memory, thought he was in GS.

i dont remember rodriguez at all, his numbers dont look bad. 30 y/o. PHI has a lot of sorting out to do, someone will be the beneficiary of that mess

Jammed up at the moment. hope to run them tomorrow. Will email the league.

Waivers will run for 2 days, so you will have plenty of time.

Yea, I like Levert. Wanted the Pels to get him. The fact that he was drafted by the new regime and they dont have much else gives him a shot
