None saw when Trier hit the pool and bid top dollar on him.

I didn't place a dollar amount on him because I was originally told that he was already on my team. I did put in a bid for him.

That makes sense too, but someone would have to check the player pool constantly. I don’t know about y’all, but I don’t have time to check everyday.

Nah we talked about this last week. It was never settled that he was going to your team.

Well you couldn't have matched None's 200 bid because you spent 350 Rupies on Trevor Ariza

I think Tom’s construction of a rule (the rule?) is absurd. We have a method in place for claiming players so that there is no longer a race to the keyboard. Trier should be up for bid for everyone when added. Even if a placeholder were permitted it should have been announced to the league that brand was the placeholder for trier so that everyone could bid.

I vote none did things the proper way. Tom’s trying to operate under obsolete rules.

Maybe, but if he turns into something then what?

But it is a race to the keyboard, because unlike most players that play in the NBA, he wasn't available in the player pool. ESPN does not let leagues know when they have added players.

***New League Vote***

Simple and clean. I think everyone understands what’s going on.

Upvote to let Thom have Trier, downvote to have None have Trier (and his faab money spent).

Just like ESPN doesn't let you know when Ariza hit the FA market. Have to monitor add/drops daily.

Also, the previous discussion on the rule and how your Elton Brand add was going to be handled was definitely left open-ended (at least that was my interpretation of the posts). You put a $0 bid on Trier, meaning you knew he was added into the pool. Did you ask for clarification from commish on if you needed to bid or not?

We can't reverse FAAB money. So if Thom is awarded Trier None would be out of $200?

"Tongue in Cheek": Now does this rule go into place now, or are we going to retro it because of another rule change 3 years ago?

I’ll give None $200 of my faab if Tom wins

It is not. He was added, or when he’s added, you, like everyone else have the chance to bid. Further, as I already provided, if you wanted to bid prior to availability, you should’ve nominated brand as trier and proposed a bid date. You tried to skirt that inconvenience.
