I don't have to worry until week 6, so I'm just coasting for now.

yo stoker, propose something after 10am tomorrow

Kinda want the Romo/Austin connection, since that stubborn brat Cubbies won't give me my Gates/Rivers connection.

only a 12 point difference between Rivers and Manning, do you want the connection+ the 3 week later Bye?

I'll have to ask my brothers what they think. It sounds kind of pointless though... what's the benefit of having them both when Manning is a higher scorer?

I would get Manning, and you would get Rivers

I'd throw in Betts for Burleson(who I will drop for a DEF)

quote:

Ladell Betts would handle feature back duties if Pierre Thomas (ankle) is kept out of Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Pass protection remains a major issue for rookie Chris Ivory, so the coaching staff would likely keep him in a niche role as a short-yardage back. Betts is taking the bulk of the first-team snaps this week

or Torain

quote:

Ryan Torain is now the No. 2 back in the Redskins' offense behind only the fragile Clinton Portis

quote:

Portis is moving toward a role as a passing-down specialist with Ryan Torain getting "more and more" of the carries. Torain must be owned in all leagues while Portis can't be trusted as more than a flex play going forward.

I know. I meant what's the benefit of having both Rivers and Gates. I'm sorry... I realize that I didn't make it clear in my post.

it's the blow up factor. When you don't have a well rounded team, you have a TE who posts 25 but it's negated by a QB who posts only 15...and you lose

But when Gates posts 25 means Rivers will put up the same and probably more, meaning you are pretty much guaranteed a win that week.

You'd have to see to understand, I don't expect you to get it until you lose 115 to 120, and gates put up 25, but Manning has 200 1td, 1 pick.

Why do you think I've been hounding you all this time?

and for me....since I'm getting production from my RB/WR's, I want a more balanced stance

Addai+Manning=40pts regardless.....Addai runs for a TD or Peyton throws....not much more, not much less

You'd spike higher than I, but I would be more consistent.

interesting trade offer. I am going to decline though because in the short term this switch would help me but i think as the season goes on jennings is going to have an increased role even if mjd stays healthy

or as i hope...

i don't like betts much as a fantasy back. I had him a few years ago when portis got hurt and he was a constant frustration. I know its a different team and offense but i don't think he will be able to produce. ppr def. helps his status though.

Jennings however is one play away from a legitament fantasy rb2. He will continue to get his looks otherwise and if the jags are still terrible later in the year his value increases because mjd is less likely to fight through injury if the team has no chance of the playoffs.

not a bad offer but i think i want to hold on to jennings (if i did trade him and mjd got hurt, i would be more pissed than if betts did well).

btw: I like how active you are. it keeps the middle of the week interesting and middle of the season as well.

true true... but im trying to remain focused on the long term and playoffs. reggie and pierre will return strong and betts value will be very little. Plus if PT doesn't play this week it won't hurt me that bad considering the matchup actually i wouldn't mind if he played very little and got healthy**AS LONG AS the saints win

np, but it kinda has to be done today right?

and if you were to look at injury history....how many games has Bush,Thomas,MJD missed over their respective careers?

Who will likely see more action?

True statement... and yes it has to be done today if we are trying to play one of the players this weekend.

I'll look at it as soon as i get off work
