you're trying to stack your team with running backs?

If you haven't noticed, I NEED running backs. Drafting Rice killed me.

nope he's worthless, there are 6 RB's who should be on teams ahead of him (in Buffalo), I was taking a chance that he may be traded....but that apparently will not happen:

quote:

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that the Bills are telling teams Marshawn Lynch "is not available."
Because he's such a key part of Chan Gailey's weekly game plans. Lynch had three carries in Week 1, and the Bills ran the ball 14 times combined as a team. Buffalo is missing out on a golden opportunity to secure a mid-round pick in exchange for a bit player. The whole operation is mind-boggling.

so do with it what you will

click lynch's box next to his name:

quote:

According to the NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, the Bills are telling interested teams that Lynch is not available in trade, NFL.com reports.
Spin: Like we said earlier, there's probably about a 90 percent chance of this not happening with the Packers even though Ryan Grant is out for the season, but as long as Lynch is the third-stringer in Buffalo and other clubs need a capable running back, you're going to hear his name in whispers. And it's not like the Bills are going to scream out with the season under way, "Our former first-rounder is available! Inquire within!" Barring injury to C.J. Spiller or Fred Jackson, the two best avenues to value for Lynch right now would be a trade -- remote as that possibility still may be -- or if he's able to become the full-time goal-line back for the Bills based on his hard-charging style. Right now Lynch holds little value beyond hope.

I don't know

8 carries 48 yards and a TD (an injury away from being a top 5 RB

or

3 carries 13 yards(2 injuries away from being a mediocre start)

your choice

Cubbs honestly, who would make a trade if they thought that it would hurt him(her)?

I think there's still a possibility that Lynch gets dealt(I don't want him if he's in Buff),however, there's also a possibility that CJ gets injured making Ringer a very strong RB.

I think the possibility of ML getting dealt is > CJ getting injured for a substantial amount of time.

but those ideas of probability/possibility are my own thereby affecting the perceived value from others. I figured you'd like the more action(8 carries) and higher ceiling, versus the dream of two friends being reunited(ar/ml).

cool, it's a win for you. Lynch won't be dealt, I just figured that the best case scenerio, is that Buff is waiting til after this week's game (against GB) before dealing him to them. Plus they may see someone in person that they like to help them complete the trade.

It was a long shot, but one I wanted to make, thanks.

Assuming 4 cheese dicks don't veto the trade...4/14 to veto is scary collusion-ability

The Bills' stance on Marshawn Lynch has not changed, confirms Chris Brown of the team's official site.
The Bills have surprisingly held on to Lynch tightly ever since draft day and aren't backing off that attitude now even though C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson are on top of the depth chart. There's a chance the Bills are just playing hard ball publicly in an effort to secure larger compensation for Lynch, but that doesn't appear to be the case here. Those stashing Lynch in hopes he is traded to the Packers are out of luck for now.

It's so stupid that your opponents have the power to veto a trade.

Not really - though 4/14 is a pretty high bar. You need at least some protection against collusion

No, it's actually not.

Would be very easy for a group of 3-4 in a deep league to swing enough trades every week to get all of them into the playoffs.

It's a tool to prevent collusion. And a damn effective one in my experience. I've seen teams loan bench players for a week, then make the exact same trade back the next week.
