Well, I should have been more specific about one of the conditions. There is one exception and that is if he was on the bench but played, it doesn't matter. He can't count toward the other persons score or his new teams score. He has to remain on the bench until next week. It's the same reason you can drop a person on your bench even if they've played. The main factor is whether the person's points counted toward someones score. If they did, then you are stuck with them until after Monday night's game. Surely that wasn't the case? Tell me he was on the bench please, because if he wasn't, I need to email nfl.com. That is not supposed to happen.

It probably would have gone through had I seen the email on Friday. I usually will respond within 24 hours or at least try to take some action within 24 hours. Obviously 24 hours may not be soon enough... If it goes through on a Friday and I see it or am notified about it, I will do it as quickly as I can. If you have a trade on a Friday definitely email me too if you want it to happen that week and cross your fingers that I am able to do it before midnight. Sometimes due to my schedule I just don't see it until Saturday morning.

I guess this is a good thing in a way so I can lay out some sort of rules for how to notify me about trades you really need to happen that week provided they meet the criteria already described above. We've never had this issue (or any issue for that matter) in the 5 years I've done this league, but it's good to get some rules in place for something that may cause friction.

The main thing is to please do all trading you want to count for that week by Thursday for Sunday players and Tuesday for Thursday players. All Thursday player trades you can go ahead and email me and let me know on that Tuesday. Also if you let fleshy or hunter know, they can get in touch with me sometimes faster than others.

There is one other thing I could do if everyone is in agreement, and I really do mean everyone. I could allow another player who is very active and always checking to have league manager power so that they can approve any Friday trades I may not be able to get to. Normally I can, but like what happened to tduecen, sometimes I can't get to it until it's too late for it to count that week. I don't want my schedule to be the reason a trade does or doesn't happen.

For some reason I thought your trade was one that happened literally 2 hours before a Thursday game. I guess I was mistaken.

Oh I see. Sorry I wasn't understanding the problem. And that is my fault.

The main thing to know is that I will put the trade through whenever the two owners making the trade agree upon. I have incorrectly assumed that both owners that made the trade for that week and met the criteria wanted it to happen that week. In years past I've actually had time to ask most of the time if a trade needed to be done that week or not. This year not so much.

If the two owners want it that week, then just meet the criteria above and let me know so I can push it through. If you don't email me, I will assume you want it to go through as soon as possible. However, if you make a trade and do NOT want it to go through until next week, definitely let me know so I don't accept it. Email right after you accept the trade telling me to hold off. I am incorrectly assuming everyone that agrees on a trade wants it that week.

You taught me several things in your explanation and it turns out I may have assumed some things when I shouldn't have. I apologize if my post came across the wrong way. Your effort to run this thing smoothly is obvious and I appreciate it. Everything is very clear now and there was no harm done.

I'm going to need some luck this week with Moreno and Stafford on a bye. Can't afford to lose too many more, even though I'm the third highest scorer so far.

Of course, I'm also winning at points against too. One of those years so far. Luck has got to turn back my way right?

Teams have put up 280+ over the past two weeks. That's hardly luck. I've just got a good enough team to not lose both of them.
