i wasnt trying to be a dick, and i know u are new in the league. once you learn the value based on the league scoring and the keeper league format, you are going to be better off.
trading Felix is cool, he's definitely stud and a great option as a keeper. It's the preseason still and trading a young guy for some aging hitters is just stupid, unless its almost playoff time and u are in need of an instant offense upgrade to make a run later in the year.
there's 14 people in this league, and obvious not all are online right now. If you arent absolutely sure you are getting the best deal you think you can get, then hold off and play the market. Like i said, Felix is a top pitcher, you have all the leverage in a deal like this. Trading just to trade will put you in a hole real quick

its all good. i just felt like everyone was criticizing without actually giving input. i've only played in one year leagues, so i was a little too quick to make trades to help me this year.

just remember its a keeper league and he is a good young player
and my rule of thumb, if someone is asking about one of your players, YOU hold the leverage. If anything, high ball them to start and go from there.
don't be so quick to throw out an offer like you did, because everyone in this league will accept it really quick.
if u need a reference for now, you can check where everyone was drafted and go from there.

Well I have Figgins if you're looking for a steals specialist. I have other players who can steal but also provide some power too (Hart).

I'll pass. Ortiz would make an OK final UTIL spot filler. Figgins will fill a weak position depth-wise.
