Has anybody ever done anything wild. I've been toying around with the idea of drafting several big time starting pitchers. The rest of my team would be a bit of patchwork.

Is this an awful idea?

Draft all hitters and closers if a H2H league. It doesn't really work in roto.

My craziest. Don't draft outfielders in the 1st 10ish rounds. There are plenty of guys that get streaky or come out of nowhere. And there are some good options on the waiver wire all year, even in a 12-14 team league.

My only other one, and not wild, is draft pitching early and late, not in the middle rounds.

I really like both of these. I was experimenting grabbing the positions with shallow depth like 2B and SS, and I found myself without an OF after like 7 rounds in a mock. Not awful though.

Nothing bizarre but for the past 2 seasons I've taken top tier SP 4 out of the first 5 rounds and relied heavily on sophomores and prospects.
