QB Draft Strategy- Standard

I'm always of the mindset to wait on QB as well, but I traded for A. Rodgers midway through last season and he was almost single handedly winning me games. I think a lot of people, myself included, don't put as much value in an elite QB as they should have. Depending on where I draft, and who I get in rounds 1 and/or 2, I may look to go with one of the elites early. In the same breathe though, they seem really deep this year. Lol. I'll just play it by ear this year and see how it falls come draft day.

No, you still don't want to reach for a qb. It really doesn't change all that much. My main league has always been 6 pt passing td's. Maybe if Rodgers is there at the end of the 2nd or beginning of 3rd it becomes too much to pass up, but I would still prefer someone else to pick qb in the early rounds while I'm still stocking on wr/rb.

It's just the nature of the position in fantasy that you can get great value in the mid to late rounds. I might start thinking more so about grabbing one of the guys who has elite potential around round 6 or so, but it all kind of depends how things fall.

The format that would really increase qb's value a lot is the super flex leagues. From what I understand at least. I haven't played in one of those.

Would you say the value of the QB matters based on the size of your league

There will be about 5-6 QBs that will give you 400+ fantasy points, or 30+ppg. The rest of the QBs will give you between 20-30 points.

It will average out. If you get Brees (scored 482 fp last year using your scoring) you will probably miss out on the number 1 RB/WR. Or you could get a middle of the road QB but you will need to fill the rest of your roster with studs.

Its up to you. There are only 3 or 4 QBs that put up monster numbers. Then you have about 2-3 next best, and then the rest are about the same. Someone will over pay for Matt Ryan and Drew Brees. Marcus Mariota would be a decent target in the later rounds. He has a decent Oline, great WRs, and he will be cheap.
