I just put in a trade offer: Branch for A. Johnson
They do have the same point totals; therefore, it's legit. Right?

Yes. Legit. Branch is in that pass happy offense!

The ultimate question behind this thread is whether or not the trade is worthy of a veto....anyone?
Both teams improve their starting lineup.

It's not worth vetoing. Johnson and Hernandez for Davis and Nicks is fairly even as far as it goes, though Moss is way more valuable than Jones. Moss is the only thing that makes it a little uneven, but he's hardly a game changer.
You are going to have people all over the map with Johnson though, some people are still acting like he's a top 6-7 back for ROS, which is pretty iffy.
The OP is pretty funny though, as he's treating Hernandez as a top 2-3 TE based on limited production, yet is still acting like Johnson is a complete stud even though he's sucked this year.

Opinions?
I wouldn't veto. Personally, I wouldn't make the trade, but I don't think it's that unrealistic of a trade to assume collusion.
If Team B, lacks WRs, I think this is a good trade for him. Yes, Hernandez in the games that he has played in has been a beast with lots of a targets. Yes, I think he could probably get better value (though Vernon Davis is not bad; decent numbers but inconsistent). But you are trying to make a good trade without having to shop around to as many teams as possible. There's also the issue of if Hernandez's injury lingers, if he gets less targets due to competition, or if he thinks Vernon Davis is going to start coming back alive with SF looking better every week (with a weak division to play in). Nicks is an upgrade for him. He loses CJ, but CJ has the name credit but hasn't performed to his expectations. Obviously has the major upside in this favor.
HOWEVER, I will say the weird thing about this trade being done right now is the BYE weeks. Hernandez and Davis are on byes, so that's a wash. But Nicks is on a BYE this week as well. Plus, CJ has already had his BYE week as well, which is a plus for TEAM A.
So basically, if Team B goes through with the trade, the 2 good players he's getting are going to be on BYES this week (unless trade doesn't go through until next week), which is weird or stupid.

I wouldn't veto. I don't see a problem with this trade enough to veto. Everyone is basing CJ on what he can do, not what he's done. And this season he hasn't done squat.

Considering the bye week, CJ has averaged more per game than Jones or Davis.

Care to connect those dots for me again?

I can assure you that Team B's thought process wasn't that in-depth. He was surprised anyone in the league would even want CJ. Gather what you will from that remark.
