Team A gets Hernandez, S. Moss, Chris Johnson
Team B gets Vernon Davis, Nicks, James Jones
Opinions?

I'm not involved in the trade. Owner A believes it is a fair trade with a slight slant in his direction. It's up for vote, and I wanted to get outside input on the fairness? Team B has the worst league record.

So you're suggesting collusion?
ETA: I would. It's not a fair deal.

League with friends. Not jumping to say it's collusion, but it involves an owner that probably invests the least time and effort.

Well, the guy with the worst record in the league is giving up two high value players for one. That doesn't sound fishy?

Trying to keep my opinion out of the matter, because owner A will likely read this and I don't want have an influence on opinions. Thank you for the input.

Owner A record is 2-4 and Owner B record is 1-5. Not much discrepancy there...
Team B also has Mendenhall, Turner, and J Stewart at RB. All of which, but Mendy, have more points thus far than CJ. Only because Mendy missed a game.

I just gotta win man I should have shopped cj around a little bit I seriously didn't think anyone would want him
Quote made by Team B's owner.
Team A's point total - 964.3
Team B's point total - 792.4
Unlucky matchups are the reason for team A's record. He's the 3rd highest scoring team.

Have yet to hear anyone view the trade as legit. Coincidence?

No coincidence here, only apathy. Don't think anyone really gives a shite....well anyone besides you. If the whole story were posted and you actually got responses from posters, you would find that the trade does not warrant a veto.

What is Team Bs reasoning?
The TEs are a wash
Nicks is a huge upgrade over Moss considering Washingtons QB situation
And James Jones is waiver fodder. CJ has an easy schedule and is finally in playing shape. His track record speaks for itself.
And there is no real debate here.

Team B has a stockpile of RB's and is desperately looking for an elite WR.
The question is does the trade warrant a veto?

TE's are a wash? If you truly believe that, then I'll play in your league anytime. Hernandez's points per games played (he missed 2 games due to injury) is about 7 points higher. Hernandez's lowest score (in games played) in our PPR league was 10+ points. Vernon has scored below 10 pts. on 3 occasions - including an impressive couple games with 2.8 and 3.8 points. So Hernandez, who has missed a couple games and still outscored Davis, isn't more valuable?
Our league has RB/WR and WR/TE flex positions. In games played, Hernandez has averaged more points than Nicks. Considering the bye week, CJ has averaged more per game than Jones or Davis. Considering the bye week, Moss has averaged more per game than Jones or Davis. See the trend here?
Team B also has Fred Davis on the bench, but trading him would make it more of a wash and therefore less of a raping. A guy looking to upgrade at WR gives away a TE (averages more points per game played than nicks) that can play in the same flex position as a WR. Hell of an upgrade, right?

So now you are averaging based only games played? Nice. Hernandez was reallllly valuable those games he missed.
Not to mention his bothersome knee injury could linger down the line and he's competing with Gronkowski for catches.

Yes, I see the trend. You don't count injured weeks and bye weeks.
Im guessing Kenny Britt is still your #1 rated receiver because he averaged 30 points the two games he played.
Anyways, I was taking your side Im pretty sure. But your rationale is all kinds of fricked up.

Team A owner originally posted the current point totals in a seperate discussion. I think bye weeks do factor into the discussion for arguing the validity of point total comparisons. Two players on Team B having bye weeks already versus zero players on bye thus far for team A will skew the numbers.

Thus far, he's a safe bet to score double digits in every game he plays. He missed 2 games. Those are known zero's. He can be replaced prior to the game. Vernon has scored less than 4 points in two of his games. Give me the more consistent player in the better pass offense any day.

He has 'IR' by his name. If he only missed two games and averaged 15 pts per game after returning, then I'm sure he'd still be viewed as the team's #1 WR. If Britt were to have only missed 2 games after averaging 30 in his first couple games, would you trade him for a guy that had the same point total at the time? Would his past performance not warrant consideration in the discussion?
