I’m in an interesting situation

I’ve got the 1.4 pick in our dynasty superflex draft. My needs are QB and WR

QB’s: Aaron Rodgers, Matt Stafford, Tua
WR’s: Garrett Wilson, Devonta Smith, Josh Downs, Tank Dell, Jayden Reed, Jahan Dotson

Should I:

-Take Malik Nabers since he’ll be best available at that pick
-Take best QB available (Maye or JJM)
-Take a trade offer for the 1.6 and 2.1 for my 1.4

I would prefer Nabers but this isn’t a bad offer.

Maye or JJM will be there at 6.

If they aren’t, you can draft Odunze at 6 and then take Nix or Penix at 2.1.

Any idea who the guy that wants 1.4 would be taking?
Malik is far and away the best talent available at 1.4 but you have 2 old QBs and another who is often hurt.
If you feel JJ would still be available at 6, take the trade.
But the other guy made a good point about taking Rome at 6 if JJ is gone and then hopefully taking nix at 2.01.
Is this a 10 or 12 team league?

10 team league so that 2.1 would be the 11th pick of the draft. The guy wanting to trade up to my pick wants Nabers, and the guy at 1.5 is taking Bowers no matter what. Maye and JJM would both likely be available at 1.6.

I feel like it’d be the smart thing to take the trade but damn I’d hate to miss out on Nabers

I think with that roster I would take the best QB available. Stafford and Rodgers might both retire after this year even if they stay healthy. If you take Nabers you're committing to "win now" for this year and he might not have the best rookie year because of his QB. Odunze has a shaky path to consistent targets. I would be deciding on who you like best out of Maye and JJM, and take that guy at 1.4.

I’d take Nabers. I made the mistake of going Zach Wilson over Chase. Unless you really believe in the QBs, I wouldn’t draft one just because you need a QB. You should be fine this year at least at the position. Maybe take a shot at Penix if he’s at 2.4

If you really want a qb I’d trade back to 1.6 and then target wr at 2.01.

But staying put and taking Nabers is the smart decision.

FTR I’m drafting 1.06 in my super flex rookie draft and am targeting JJ. I assume one of time or bowers will also be available but I’m desperate at qb.

I’m doing this option and letting 1 of Maye or JJM “fall” to me and picking up the 2.01, which is still a fantastic pick in a 10 or 12tm league. Take your shot at Nix, Penix, Ladd, Coleman, Leggett, Brooks, Benson etc…

This is predicated on you being concerned about your QB’s of course, as Stafford & Rodgers are big question marks beyond 2024 and Tua is a bit underwhelming talent wise but in a great situation.

In a 10 team I'm staying put and taking Nabez, in 12+ teams due to QB scarcity I'd probably trade back and take a QB.

A lot of good advice here. I ended up trading my 1.4 and 2.9 for his 1.6, 2.1, and 2.5. Sucks to miss out on Nabers but I’m satisfied with the haul I got

Great trade in my opinion, though staying put and getting a guy you really like wouldn’t have been a “wrong” answer either. Hope it works out!

Stay put and take Nabors.

He’s probably the best bet on all these guys to having the quickest and biggest impact in fantasy.

Move back and take a “chance” on a QB that you probably won’t need to play for a couple yearsz

Drafted last night. Took Odunze at the 1.6, traded my 2.1 for Desean Watson, picked up Keon Coleman and Michael Penix in the 2nd round at 2.4 and 2.6, and traded my 3.4 and 3.5 for Nick Chubb.

Filled a lot of holes so I’m satisfied

Love Nabers not sure this is a sure thing with the NYG… some filthy combo of Danny Dimes & Drew Lock brewing over there

I was pick 1.06 and took Rome. I desperately needed a qb and almost went JJ lol at 6. Glad I came back to my senses.
JJ was stil available at 2.02 and I took him.
Also got MarShawn Lloyd at 2.07 and Javon Baker at 3.06.
All in all pleased.
TE’s get a .5 bonus per catch in this league so I contemplated going Sinnot but that was a bit early imo and hoped he either fell in early 3rd but went 2.10. I have Laporta so my te need isn’t huge.

Do the trade. Take QB at 6 and still get a decent wr at 11.
