Honestly, I don’t need any. Breida will be the bell cow. Anyone looking for cheap player to bust out you can thank me later. Or take that 3rd down back and struggle to make playoffs. Only reason I made this thread is to bookmark. Good luck

McKinnon couldn’t beat out Matt Asiata or Latavious Murray for the job in Minny. That’s all I need to know about him. I’m avoiding him in every draft at his current cost.

I saw a show (NFLN maybe?) that showed highlights of Alfred Morris from preseason and said that he was by far the best zone scheme runner on the team.

On my do not draft list. Lots of people get caught up in situation/scheme/expected workload and ignore a guys ability. We know what McKinnon is. He’s going 2-3 rounds higher han Isaiah Crowell- a better football player expected to get a similar workload

Seriously. They aren’t paying him to pass block and catch a few passes. He’s gonna play 2/3 downs at least. Kyle Shanahan knows what he wants for his offense, and McKinnon will be his playmaker

I avoided him in both my drafts because I think he's going way too high and/or expensive.

“He’s never done it before”

JM
150 carries at 3.8 per carry
51 receptions at 8.3 yards per reception

Chris McCaffrey
117 carries at 3.7 per carry
80 receptions at 8.1 per reception

Moral of the story - ya ain’t buying the efficiency, ya buying the air/ground volume

Ya think if shanny wanted Morris to start (and he’s very familiar with Alf), he would’ve dropped coin on JM when he could’ve had Alf for cheap? Could’ve ran he and breida our there. Breida is 190 lbs btw, he has a role but it’s not a bulk guy

JM arrow has shifted actually, he’s become a value after the injury

I had a league that drafted Saturday where a guy drafted him second round 6th pick.

He also drafted Dez Bryant in the 11th round, so that tells you all you need to know.

4th year player to a rookie comparison. They’ll both see an increases workload, but at least with Mcaffery there’s the feeling he hasn’t reached his full potential. We know what JM is. He’s topped 150 carries each of the last two seasons and hasn’t broken 3.8 ypc. I fail to see the value at the back end of the second when Collins, Henry, Lewis, Drake, and Crowell are going in the 4th and 5th.

I just think he’s limited by his mediocre ability. 9 career 20+ yard carries. Drake had 7 just last year. McKinnon is just a meh player imo.

McKinnon was a college QB who’s played under 3 different OCs since he’s been in the league. There’s a good Athletic article on his development

JM went in 4th and 5th rd in two drafts over the weekend. He’s got the volume these guys won’t see and Collins Henry and Crowell aren’t catching passes. I’d take drake over JM but none of the others

I took him early in the 4th round. I had Drake qued up but he went two picks before me and I really needed a running back after going AB,Fournette, Keenen Allen my first 3 picks. I hope he has a respectable year, I think Jimmy G will be checking down to him a lot. I think LF is going to have a monster year this season so I don't feel like I am depending too much on Mckinnon, even though I took him a little higher than I wanted to.

His ADP is being propped up by the system he is in, not necessarily his talent.

He did look good after Cook went down last year.
