Once I noticed my mistake...I decided to keep it to see how it played out

If anything happens with this Gordon situation I guarantee you will hear about it here about 20 seconds after someone tweets it.

nfl.com week 2 waiver wire report

1. Josh Gordon, WR, Cleveland Browns (16.7 percent owned)
The top wide receiver in fantasy football last season, Gordon wasn't drafted in most leagues after being suspended for a full year due to off-field issues. With a potential new deal with the NFL on performance-enhancing drugs, however, there's a chance that all or part of Gordon's punishment will be lifted. That's enough for me to take a flier on Gordon until a final decision is announced.

After how badly DT 88 played, I would love Gordon in the lineup as a flex. Ugh.

I didn't get to see most of the game, but Thomas has a history of being elite. Downing him after one game (I'm not sure if he played bad or was victim of Manning throwing to the other guys) is foolish. Gordon and Thomas will be an unbeatable lineup if it happens

He had team high targets and dropped 4-6. He'll get it together. But I concur... they had him doubled all night. He'll get open and go off and will be on a lot of benches.

He will not be on a lot of benches. He's elite, nobody is thinking about benching him. They are just disappointed in a poor performance.

ouch. that's a product of a bad night, not career. he will be fine

Oh yeah, I won't be benching him. Just nervousness about him against Seattle later in the year. Would Sherman be on Sanders?
Posted on 9/8/14 at 2:31 pm to forksup
Sherman doesn't lock onto any 1 WR

Peyton threw to him 3 straight times down by the goal line on the first drive but he was well covered and Denver settled for a FG. There was a play in the second half in which he had his man beat down the sideline but got held (penalty was called) just enough to throw off the timing with Peyton's pass. It would have likely been a 60+ yard TD had he not been held...assuming he would have caught it.

LaConfora is a hack that always sides with the NFL, so naturally he's going to use "sources" from there.
NFLPA seems to think it has a strong case and that's all that matters. NFL needs to get a deal done quickly, especially with the shitstorm going on today. Players have all the leverage now that the shield is fricked

Man, frick you guys. You keep giving me just enough hope.

Tell me something I don't know. I'm not knocking DT88. Barring injury, I am going to start him every game. I was responding to someone else's question about his game. I also have seen a lot of people knocking his performance. He'll be fine. He's got one of the best throwing to him.

I wasn't responding to you as a criticism to what you said. I was responding "in addition" to what you said in defense of DT88. Sorry for any confusion on that.

totally not a reliable source but we havent had one through all of this anyway

I may or may not personally know one of the attorneys involved in these negotiations for the NFLPA. And he/she may or may not have told me that the NFLPA has informed counsel for Gordon that he should be prepared to play this season with at worst, a 4-game suspension.
