Am I wrong for thinking this shouldn't be too difficult? They had it passed last year had it not been for Danny Martiny's shenanigans in the Senate. And this year's legislature seems to be a little more gaming friendly judging by how easily some of these bills have passed.

House Ways & Means approves 8% tax rate for fantasy sports betting, which voters in 47 parishes approved in the 2018 election. Tax rate needs approval before betting can start. Money from the tax would go to early childhood education. Next to House floor for debate. #lalege
To the House which should be approved. Then senate.
My best guess is senate tries to make it 10%. House should pass as is.

Assuming something is passed and signed, how long are we looking at before we're actually able to play?

I'd guess DFS operators will do everything possible to get it up and running in Louisiana in time for NFL kick off.

Governor signed bill.
@LouisianaGov also has signed @TannerDMagee bill creating the regulatory framework for fantasy sports betting. If the tax rate bill passes this session, the betting could start soon. #lalege #lagov

That is fantastic. I'm going to lose so much money playing PGA DFS.

Made one lineup for a free play on FD. I can’t wait to be mad with actual real money. Had -6 -5 -5 -2 -2 and Webb

Moving to Senate Wednesday I’d guess. It’s in House final passage. They will pass it. Senate will probably want more %.

House passes Bill 83-9 or 82-11, whether way it's headed to the Senate where it will get favorable treatment. The House is where bills go to die.

Would you guys wanna do weekly TD Tournaments on there?
I think there is already a group that does them.
I want to say a guy set up a contest during the playoffs last year for those having the blues about FF regular season being over?

If it passes does the session have to end before Gov can sign the bill?

When will senate vote on it?
