I just can't decide what to do with Conner. Do I try and flip him to the Bell owner or do I ride him until he isn't a thing?

If I keep him then I have to make a weekly decision between starting him, Drake and maybe Hyde. If I try and flip him to the Bell owner I really don't know what to ask for because I really don't have any glaring needs. Can maybe upgrade my TE (Kittle) or my QBs (Cousins/Keenum) but I think these guys aren't really bad just undervalued.

Thought of trying to flip Kittle/Conner to the Bell owner for Gronk but don't think he'd buy it.

Post your roster, but I'd probably just stay put.

Don't mind Earl, he just disagrees with me on everything. It's kind of comforting, confirms that I'm on the right track

Oh I know. That's kinda his shtick.

He was agreeing with what I posted, but he did it by arguing my post.

It doesn’t matter when Bell comes back, he isn’t going to take substantial carries.

I said the same thing when it was DeAngelo Williams. Even after DeAngelo has a great season with Bell out.

I was wrong. Bell rarely came out the game.

The starting RB for Pitt is a top 4 RB every week, week in and week out. Deangelo was, Bell was, Connor is as long as Connor is that guy. To a Bell owner, he’s as good as any RB1 minus Gurley. To a non-Bell owner, he’s a gamble, but a gamble who has serious upside. I’d trade away Kareem Hunt for him right now!
He’s a huge guy too, was at Pitt. The only thing to tame expectations on is that he got 31 touches yesterday in the rain(very little passing) and OT(he played for 15 extra minutes. 20-23 touches is a more realistic expectation. But I do see him as a 15-20pt RB every week he starts.

I do think it’s a different situation though.

Bell isn’t going back to Pitt at this point. He’s going for his mega lifetime contract in a few months.

He was playing under the tag and still trying to prove himself as the elite back we’ve come to know. He was also still hoping for a long term extension with Pitt back then. That ship has sailed.

He gains nothing by playing this year, other than money, and he doesn’t even have to do that to get paid.

He just has to show up. Which he will, eventually. But he will stay on the injury report and will not be the same physical and motivated player even when on the field.

He will protect himself and his future.

Well no, Earl. It isn’t a fact. It’s my opinion, obviously.

Your “he’s not” post sounded at least as assertive as a fact as my posted theory about Bell’s mindset.

But that opinion led me to make a very small investment on a player that has already generated great return and has the potential to continue to do so for a good portion of the fantasy season.

I’m pretty happy about it, and sense little more than sour grapes from those gurus like yourself that refuse to acknowledge the possibility that he may just end up a huge piece of a championship season for many owners and that apparently didn’t have the foresight to make that same easy investment for your teams.

yea, or he could just return & follow his primal instinct as a professional athlete & just be the dawg he has always been, despite his looming contract situation this offseason.

this drummed up, fanatic-fueled narrative about him not playing 100% is fricking dumb

They had amicable contract talks leading up to July 1. Art Rooney and Bell has said as much. All PIT has said is they wont trade or rescind the franchise tag offer. Bell's agent has been blowing smoke as well
