Is it just me or is RB depth really bad across the board this year?

Been doing fantasy for about 6-7 years and can’t remember a season where nearly all the teams in 12 team league are hurting for RBs. Seems everyone outside of a couple of teams are in desperation mode today.

Rbbc is to blame. All rbs are stashed in fantasy

First year playing was 1999, you had about 25 dudes who got the rock on the reg as a RB.

You have about 7 now.

Different game than it was 19 years ago.

Fantasy football is much different than it was 19 years ago and thats just from an NFL stand point, not technology and the wealth of data at our finger tips now.

its a waiver wire game now.

It almost always was, but the wire is more important than ever now.

Other than a few you have RBBC

These are pretty much bell cows

Gurley
DJ (Arizona sucks as a whole)
Saquon
Connor (but bell coming back)
Zeke
McCoy (could be)
Ingram/kamara (both can thrive)
CMC
Mixon (gio involved)
Freeman (Coleman involved)
Howard/cohen
Gordon/ekelher

There is a bunch of teams with a main lead back and a “receiving back” I listed a few above

looked good going into the year but there have been injuries (Cook, Fournette, Freeman), Bell holding out, and then the rookie class hasn't contributed nearly as much as originally thought

a few other general disappointments like Drake, Miller who some thought could make for solid RB2s. David Johnson hasn't been the stud some thought they were drafting.

who down votes that response?

Own Gurley, J Howard, Conner, L Miller.

Week 2 I thought I had a stable.

Week 6 I’m worried about rb2 when/if Bell return. I’m in one of the deeper positions in our league and it’s riddled with uncertainty and RBBC.

Last year I didn’t make it a priority when drafting. I got DJ and after week 1 I was scrambling to replace him. Ended up making a few trades and got Gurley. I learned real quick that you need a solid RB and a decent RB2 and just make sure your receivers are getting Targets! This year I drafted Elliot and Mixon. Secured Kerryon Johnson and Breida as well.

TLDR: Grab as many RBs as you possibly can!

I drafted RBs in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th rounds. Good thing I did I lost guice and ajayi

I own gurley, Ingram, gio, and Howard in one league. I’m in first place with the most points scored

Rbbc and the increased emphasis on short passes as an extension of the run game. My strategy is to try to avoid obvious committees where there is no obvious path to a lead back taking over quickly. Always easier to find wr production than rbs when the injuries start. Picked 9th in a 10 ten team and took saquon/melvin as my first two picks. Mixon fell and I got him too. Maybe the other managers suck, idk. Whet I do know is I'm leading in points scored so far. I search for studs and opportunity.

I went RB/RB this year (picked 3rd in a 10 team PPR). Gurley fell to me at 3 and CMC was there in round 2. Later, I drafted C. Thompson simply for receptions on 2nd and 3rd downs. I picked up P. Lindsay off the wire in week 1. Throw in a couple of solid WR's, a decent QB, and a Jax defense, and I am in 1st. I pray the injury bug doesn't strike.
