I did that this week (playoffs). If your opponent can not figure out to pick up their own handcuffs, that is on them.

In our league all teams that don’t make the playoffs rosters are locked to stop that bullshite.

I’ve picked up kickers and defenses in the playoffs and just placed them on the bench but never this

I do this almost every year. The only thing I don’t like are assholes not in contention that snatch up the top waiver wire pickups.

All you have to do is say that you are picking up players in case you have someone test positive for COVID. You don't have to pick up in order to start.
