Maybe this guy will benefit from Kyler Murray, but this guy was nothing special last year and only has one great year in the NFL. I hate the idea of using a first round pick on him.

the volume alone in this system with catches will warrant a first round price.

On top of that Murray looks pretty good, its been one pre season game but if he adjusts and has a better than average rookie season for a QB Johnson will thrive.

Mike McCoy was terrible, entire coaching staff was terrible. I would give 2019 Johnson a chance.

I'm worried about everyone, baw. But I have DJ on the low end of my worry scale. Unless he has another random injury, dude should eat bigly

Despite playing in all 16 games in both seasons, Johnson saw 35 fewer carries and 44 fewer targets than in his 2016 season. Based on weighted opportunity, this was worth a loss of about 5.6 fantasy points per game. The loss in receiving volume was especially costly, but fortunately, new head coach Kliff Kingsbury has a strong history of keeping running backs heavily involved in the passing game. Last season, Texas Tech was one of only 10 teams to target running backs more than 75 times.

Completely inept staff for 2018 Cardinals

quote:

In 2018, Arizona ran only 56.4 plays per game (second-fewest), despite spending the most time of any offense trailing by a touchdown or more. Last season, Kingsbury’s Red Raiders offense ran the third-most offensive snaps in the NCAA.

On top of a low quality offensive play calling the Cardinals hardly ran any plays when Johnson was on the field.

These are the responses I was looking for. Already feeling better about him. I’m drafting 5th, so I could see him being available in that crap spot.

If Murray pops off DJ could be a monster in the system.

Murray looks solid. That plus the scheme will help a lot.

DJ finished in the top 10 at RB last season despite being in the worst offense in the NFL and having a completely inept staff that had no clue how to use him.

In 2016 he graded out as one of the best WRs in the league. You read that right. KK will use him in the slot and out wide like he should be. Kyler is stupid accurate and will lean on DJ as a safety valve. He has number 1 RB upside and a floor still in the top 10. Hes fine. Take him at 5.

No. He’s a bounce back candidate. He’s going to get tons of volume, maybe even more in what should be a better offense. I mean, I had the guy last year and the offense was awful, just awful and while he was inconsistent, he still got volume and still was a top 10 RB.

If I’m at 5 I’ll take him over Bell in a heart beat
