I absolutely hate Yahoo.

moreso the commish of our league really.
Last week I lost (so I had thought) to eliminate me from playoff contention. Come to find out though I had a playoff game today (against the commish) no I'm not trolling.
apparently a stat correction was made to last weeks game and I won. Von Miller was credited a sack in the game against the Jaguars.
but I received no notifications from Yahoo or the commish. I just so happened to go and check the scores tonight to see what was happening for the hell of it. Two of the players I have in my lineup weren't even active today (kiko Alonso and Harrison smith). Obviously I would have adjusted accordingly had I known I was playing.
shouldn't have Yahoo notified me? I've played this league for years but don't see or talk to the other players or commish on a regular basis anymore. The buy in was $200 so I'm pissed.

notice my team (504) yeah its a corny name is listed as the loser by a score of 98.1 to 95.99 yet you can scroll down and to the right you can see a different result. 100.49 to 98.10
emails have been sent and maybe they'll realize I have a legit point.
edit: the 98.1 to 95.99 score is what I saw posted on the league page last Tuesday morning. So I thought it was over for me.
if I need to screen shot anymore proof tell me how please.

I've never gotten an email about a stat correction. I think it's on you for not noticing. I look up stat corrections each week and constantly check my league. I can't fault the commish for you not noticing that you won a matchup.

You can set Yahoo to notify you when lineups are due... which you probably have turned off.

but like I said, I was charged a loss and checked back on Tuesday morning.
the Top 8 makes the playoff.
as far as I knew I finished 5-8 and not 6-7. The correction was made later in the week (not even sure when it was).
If Yahoo hadn't have been so incompetent in the first place this wouldn't have been an issue.

Yahoo doesn't make stat corrections out of thin air. They get their stats from the same agency that ESPN, NFL, etc use. They update their stats when the agency updates their stats.

long story short, IDP leagues suck arse.

I get that but I haven't had an issue like this before. I mean at the least have a correction happen so late. I've seen stat corrections made but they are usually quicker about it is all I'm saying.
I had made a lot of moves during the year and was an active owner. So for the people trying to tell me I should've paid more attention, I don't know what to tell you.

Sorry about your loss Loose but that is just 1 outlier reason why you should never quit on your season.
Had you played your season out even though you werent supposed to be rewarded for it you would have caught the correction when your opponent changed.
***I know this is a separate argument and unrelated to your issue. However I have never liked the idea of IDP.
I think the perfect solution would be to form a scoring system for defensive units based on the level that unit plays on defense.
ex. you can draft the Seahawk secondary and pair it with the Denver LB corps. You pair 3 defensive units(DL, LB, Secondary) to form a startable fantasy defense every week.
I have always wanted this and hopefully enough people voice their want for it and it could hopefully become a thing.

That's on you man. In a close game always hold your breath for stat corrections. Weird that it was a 5 point swing, but idk y'all scoring system.

They are almost always done on Wednesday or Thursday

that's a cool idea for real. I used the stacking method a lot this year. For example, I picked Roby the Broncos corner that week. I already had Chris Harris and Miller so the Broncos onslaught against Jacksonville scored me a lot of points. Harris had an interception in that game too.
you couldn't get too carried away with stacking though cause there are only so many roster spots obviously. I attacked Bortles a bunch this year and did pretty well with that.
thing is my team basically got by on defense cause my offense sucked.
I drafted Allen Robinson and Sammy Watkins (auction) and paid up a lot to get Lamar Miller. Miller wasn't a huge bust but definitely not worth what I paid for.
