Just curious.

For those who didn’t see, Mariota threw a pass, it was deflected, he caught it and ran it in for a 6 yard touchdown.

Would he get .6 for the catch, 6 for the receiving TD, 4 for the passing TD, and the points for the 6 yds passing?

I was wondering this too - just not sure if anyone still checks the Fantasy board that can provide an answer. The Espn stats have him with both a throwing and a receiving td though so I assume he’d get credit for both.

He should get 4pts for throwing a TD, then 6pt for scoring a receiving TD, then points for passing/receiving yardage. In PPR he would get 1pt for the reception.

A lot of leagues are split on this being 4 or 6, just a matter of preference.

I've always thought a 5 point pass TD would be interesting.

This has happened before. Below is a quote from my league's current rules.

quote:

In the unlikely event that a quarterback throws and catches his own touchdown pass (OK, Brad Johnson did it), the quarterback gets the points for the TD reception and the TD pass (10 points).

I think that Brees has also done this.

We’ve done 6 for a decade.

It makes zero sense to me that in many leagues a qb gets 4 points for throwing a TD while a kicker can get 5 points for a long field goal.

I have scoring set to 4 points for a TD pass but upped passing yardage to .05 from the standard .04 to compensate. I also scrapped kickers entirely, so there's that
