Hernia question..

Is there a type of hernia that is unoperable? I haved a hernia but it isn't the typical type..nothing protrudes noticeably..
My whole abdomen is just out a bit and when I lay flat my abdomen raises in the middle..my Dr says there isn't anything I can do...I just haven't heard of hernia that can't be fixed..
