All it takes is a good draft an two solid RB2s to fill that void of no #1 RB. Lamar Miller, Mark Ingram and Jeremy Hill can definitely fill that hole

You say this like Rb2's grow on trees..

It's one thing if you are going zero RB or an upside down draft with 2 stud wide receivers to start who you know you are going to get at least top 15 production out of. It's an entirely different thing when you take a QB in the first. Not only does your WR in the second pretty much have to be a top 5 player, but you also must hit on two running backs and don't have as much room to miss on a WR2.

How many people got burned on some perceived RB2's last year like Stacy, Ball, Tate, Toby, Bush etc. Obviously it depends on roster configurations, but still gives you less room for error. A good draft isn't winning a league for you, but you can definitely blow your season with one.

I used Miller for a good stretch there in DFS last year. I know they drafted that kid from Boise St. but I still think Miller is pretty underrated.

i mean i kind of like some of the moves the Dolphins made seeing how Buffalo has a fierce D-line and the Jets loaded up on defense.

they added more WR's so that should spread the field more and maybe open up more running room for him?

i wouldn't say its impossible to get a Luck/Dez/INgram trio. How high you think Ingram goes?
Miller/Ingram are going around #30ish OA in 12PPR mocks I've done. Hill 2nd round no doubt.

I'll retract that it's impossible for Luck/Dez/(Ingram or Miller). Hill is a pipedream.

I would say go RB/RB. Everyone is going to the WR/WR strategy and that will leave you with the opportunity to possibly snag two top tier RBs.

However, I think RB is pretty deep this year

Eddie Lacy
Leveon Bell etc. but you also have underrated guys like Forsett, Lamar Miller, Frank Gore, Chris Ivory, Joique Bell that are viable flex and RB2 guys.

It depends on how your draft falls out. Top RB's tend to be less predictable than WR's and QB's, so while my preference would be to get a top RB in round 1, it is tougher to predict who the top RB's will be. Last year I had the top pick in my draft and I selected Lesean McCoy who was ranked as a top RB.

Only problem with that is that you don't get your 3rd player until late in the 3rd round. By which time Hill and Ingram should be gone in almost every league. Leaving you with players like miller(at best) as your rb1. Not saying it can't win, it's just not my preferred method

With my first round pick I usually go this way (the rankings are my own and I'm sure everyone else would have different folks)

RB (top 5)
QB (top3)
WR (top 4)

If one of my top 5 RB isn't available I go QB but if my top 3 QB isn't available I go WR.

I'm also the person that has drafted defense anywhere from the 4th rd to the 7th round if it's one of my top 2 defenses.

You have to look at offensive lines and decide if a RB will be productive or is a new coach more a spread versus a standard line em up and run.

One such player could be randle of the cowboys. He could be a good sleeper pick in later rounds. Blue with the texans is also another sleeper or good bench player to have.
