We are both assuming a broken piston rod but he didn't want to assume too much before he tore it apart. As for what could have actually caused that issue to happen (because i was worried there was a possible warning sign that i could have overlooked leading up to it), he just said "sometimes sh*t just happens".

Well they told me they were extremely swamped on boats needing to be serviced (their back parking lot certainly led me to believe this was true) and that best case scenario I would hear something in about a week but to realistically expect to hear something closer to 2. Good to know that only a catastrophic failure would cause the whole system to need to be cleaned.

THey certainly are. Although I will not be fully at ease until I get the call from them and they confirm that whatever the issue is in fact covered by the warranty (I've heard stories of how motor and/or boat manufacturers, not Mercury necessarily, have tried to weasel out of certain warranty work situations before. The service guy at the dealership did say that the platinum warranty basically covers anything you could imagine besides something they could prove without a doubt to stem from owner neglect or improper treatment which is definitely not the case so I suppose that has given me a little relief in the mean time. This is gonna be a long 2 weeks waiting on a call :yack:

Thanks for the input guys. I had never actually heard what a bad compressor sounded like but a quick google search helped me out. Not saying that's not it because I'm certainly no mechanic and this is the first time I've ever had an issues of this nature, but all the videos I saw didn't seem like there was any excessive amount of vibration from the motor (mine was shaking the entire boat a good bit.) And also mine seemed to have what I would best describe as a metal on metal significant knock that didn't have a definitive rhythm to it like on the videos with bad compressors. This initially led me to believe I might have broken a piston rod but again this was just a wild guess. Again, thanks for the input and I'll be nervously waiting to hear from the shop.

Sorry in advance for the tl;dr
My rig- 2013 Z-7 DC, 2013 Pro XS 150
On Toledo Bend this morning and boat fires up just fine like it does at least every other week. Idle a couple hundred yards out of the cove and make a 5 minute run to first fishing spot of the day with no issues. Fish for about an hour and decide to head across to the Texas side of the lake to a spot about 15 minutes away. Boat ran excellent until about 12 minutes into that trip when it sputtered for a second like it would of had trash in the fuel but quickly recovered. That is until I made it about 100 more yards and the engine starts making a horrific clattering/knocking sound paired with a very generous about of vibration to go with it. So I immediately shut it down. It was very rough idling for a little bit when I decided to try to limp to a nearby marina but it died the second I put it in gear. It would still crank after that but die again when forward or reverse were engaged. After trying that once each, I cranked once more to hear it idle but it died on its own about 5 seconds after crank. Just a note- Oil levels in both tanks good, non ethanol gas with additives, and when it initially sputtered for a quick second, on instinct, I looked down at my water pressure and it was still good @12-13 psi so I'm pretty certain nothing was caused from overheating. Also I never got any kind of alarm from the motor.
Just got it back to town and dropped it off at the dealer but probably won't hear anything for 2 weeks. I do still have the Platinum warranty good until next March (thank God) but I'm just curious of what yall think might have happened and how bad it actually is. Thanks for any input yall have and let me know if I've left out any crucial info.
**UPDATE FOR THOSE INTERESTED**
Just got back from the shop and took a look for myself where there is a quarter sized hole in the #3 cylinder. Wont be certain of what actually caused the damage until they open it up. Now just to wait to hear from Mercury to see how they want to handle it. Hopefully they don't give me any kind of run around which I believe they won't. I'll just have to accept the fact that my fishing season is probably done for the season unless winter decides to be non existent again this year here in SWLA. I'll be sure to update again after we hear from Mercury just in case anybody is curious.

Anyone else lose the points that was credited to the Packers D during the game for the blocked punt?

Down 14 with Alshon left- standard
Not feeling confident even though I had a great week with Carr/Forte/KBenjamin... I'll be the second highest scorer this week :banghead:

Check ADPs, don't think you can really consider Parker a sleeper this year. I've seen the guy projected at a top 15 WR somewhere (not saying I agree with it but can see why people are high on him)
But looking at your list there, I think Coats will have a solid year in that offense bc I just haven't seen anything of substance from Wheaton to prove that he can be a consistent #2 and he's had plenty of chances. Williams, Green-Beckham, and Snead should all have respectful seasons, with DGB having the most upside of all. Julius should be pretty serviceable in that offense and I'm still reserving judgement on White as I look at him as a rookie who hasn't played in over a year. The big one to watch is Foster bc reports are the Dolphins aren't comfortable with Ajayi carrying the load but how much does Foster's aging vegan body hold up? Adams is off my radar personally bc he burnt his chance last year when he had every opportunity to shine and blew it. And are we really talking about Defensive sleepers? Stream weekly and don't look back, if the jags have a favorable match up that week, then absolutely roll them out.

I'm not saying that the trade was bad on either of yalls part in week 1. Especially if the trade helped both teams. They were both the obvious rb1 and wr1 for their teams. The problem was the agreement for a trade back after Martin got healthy. That's collusion 101. If you're hurting at a position, then play the waiver wire or make a trade and stick with it. You could have even got Martin back and traded a rb to another team in need at that time and nothing would have been an issue. But I agree with the poster above, if the league knew and allowed it then they are just as dumb for letting shite like that fly. I really can't take anyone's side in this case or the issue y'all are having with the guy not filling a lineup. Everyone in this league seems dumber than the guy next to him. Play dumb games... Win dumb prizes.

Wow. This whole situation makes my head spin. Did the commish know the terms of the deal when the trade was made? Bc it should have never been allowed if so. That's like 99.9% collusion. If commish didn't know at the time of the trade but only found out when guy who traded bell away started screaming, then both guys shouldn't have been allowed back this year for trying to pass that sneaky shite by the league. Props to the guy if he was actually smart enough (though I doubt it's the case) to get bell by any means necessary... Maybe he just completely outsmarted the other owner by telling him whatever he wanted to hear lol

Not saying it didn't happen, but how did he scam his way in? And if that's the case, then why was he allowed back this year? Just curious bc I like to hear crazy scenarios that have happened before

That is actually how I have it set as of right now. Dez scares me with his wildly inconsistent Qb play. And Ryan has killed me all year with his turnovers.
One more question. Roll with Eli or pick up Stanford to pair with Calvin in hopes of a big combination? Although I believe GB has given up less than 10 tds this year to wrs. Im driving myself crazy with this team

Because apparently I'm terrible with this lineup so far this season. I believe it's a pretty strong team top to bottom but am currently 5-7. So I figured I give this a go lol
re: Should Commissioner Step In?

If money is involved, as a commish, I would certainly step in and set his lineup off of highest projected players. It's only fair. I promise if it were anyone else (especially the commish) it were happening to, they'd be pissed too. And being that this guy has shown that he's a douche, if it were happening to him, he'd absolutely scream the loudest. If the guy cries, then have commish revoke ownership of his team and give him the boot. This would never be an issue if the guy still had a shot at the playoffs

Alright guys, I'm currently sitting in the last playoff spot with one week to go and I'm in a must win situation. 2 guys right behind me have same record as me and are playing each other so if I lose, the winner of that game will jump me

re: Jarvis Landry for Frank Gore

Sorry. See that in OP now. Jmo but I'd prefer a starting lineup of
Bell
Gore
Obj
Maclin
Cooper
Over
Bell
Hill
Maclin
Cooper
Jarvis
In a standard league I can honestly see gore putting up close to what hill will, now that he is with a competent offense. So if I'm to believe that to be the case then I'd definitely take obj over Jarvis. If you're iffy on trading hill then I'd either stand pat or see if I could pull a more proven non PPR wr2 for gore.

You're stacked at RB but in non PPR gore should pull more than Jarvis. I'd honestly give hill to get beckham. Once leveon comes back you'll be looking real good. If Foster does return to form, then that's just icing on the cake. Is this 12 tm?
