regarding players that start hot/slow

are you the guy who:

a)waits a few weeks to see what they have before dropping a player you had high hopes for who happened to have a bad week 1. You are also the guy who picks off "good players" who people drop after a bad week 1.

or

b)quick to drop someone you drafted rather high, for someone who came out of nowhere in week 1.

I have always been guy A. Just reading the board today, people are asking, should I drop Shonn Greene, Beanie Wells, Jonathan Stewart, Mike Sims Walker, etc...Or should I trade Ryan Matthews?? Whats wrong with Cedric Benson?? etc...

Im not saying these guys will all live up to the hype...but it is week 1. Ive seen many people boost their team by adding good players that people panic and drop in week 1 for some guy that had a good week.

and on the otherhand, there is always a player or 2 that is worthy of picking up, and will end up having a huge season. But i would just be careful who you drop to get them. Its only 1 week

I'm player A and love trading with the type B players in first 3 weeks.

I put alot of faith in my draft choices and usually hold on rather than pickup a week 1 stud.

Sometimes this will bite me in the arse bc there is one unknown FA week 1 STuD that stays solid all year

I'm player A with my early to mid draft picks and player B with my late picks. I draft guys late on potential and see if they are used early in the season to justify my pick. If not, then I scour the free agents for the good players dropped by dumb owners.

This.

Usually stick with or bench my starters and exchange some bench players with free agents that looked ok.

the guys in my league that have Jets or Ravens are freaking out bc of last nights game. I tried to get them to realize what defenses were playing but they are already in full panic mode. I upgraded my 4th RB to Mcgahee today and my 5th WR to Housh

I am just shocked that you have problems admitting you were wrong. shocked.

week 3 or so is a good gauge to steal some FA or trade gems.
