how do i put Montero on the DL and add a player off the wire?
i try putting him on the DL and it wont let me because my lineup becomes illegal
then i try adding the guy and i can because it puts me over the limit of players

I just put him on your DL for you.
ETA: You should have been able to move him there yourself, and it would just make your lineup illegal until you added another C... not sure why it wouldn't let you.

Add the player, then on the right side select the player you want to drop/move. When you select the player, one of the options will be move to dl.

You haven't figured that out yet? 
Seriously, for future puposes:
1) Add player first - this take you to your roster where you select which guy to move/drop
2) select the guy you want to move (Montero)then hit submit transaction
3) a confirmation pop up appears on your screen. On that pop up, the players involved have drop down boxes next to their names and that's where you'd move Montero to the DL and whomever youre picking up to your roster. On Montero's drop box, you'd have the option to drop him outright or move to DL. Then hit submit again

well i didnt want to drop Montero, i didnt know that you had the option to move him to DL. Fantrax blows nuts, never will get used to it
