Stanton, in a dynasty league, is worth way more than a Revere, a Walker and a Carter.

How many people know that?

I like Walker, but Rendon, Heyward, and Wheeler are all the same age or younger than Stanton. Seemed like a better deal, IMO, especially when you factor in that Knat is starting Aaron Hill at 2B right now, with Scooter as his only other option on his entire roster, minors included.

I'm sure Walker was the deciding factor though. Guess I can see his reasoning.

Especially if/when the Brewers flip Carter to a ballpark that isn't Miller Park.

Im thinking the pitching was more important to Knat. His pitching was really bad outside of Jon Lester. He needed a sure thing, and Walker is the best player out of any of those guys listed.

He was then able to supplement Stanton's power with Carter.

On the surface tho I do like T&P's package of players too.

Yeah, thats why I could kinda see his reasoning behind it.

Those 3 for Stanton? Or they wanted something else too

Stanton and Walker are pretty even in a dynasty given age to someone with realistic trade expectations imo

He wanted an SP mainly. Wheeler hasn't done shite

I just feel bad for not putting in an offer.

Stanton, in a dynasty league, is worth way more than Walker and some throw ins...While he's having a down year coming back from the wrist injury, he is the premier power hitter in MLB. I just don't see how you trade that guy for an SP of Walker's quality.

That was pretty much it. We wanted a young OF with pop so went hard.

We agreed to do Aaron Sanchez. Who is also 23 (who knew!) and having a better year than Walker. Or the option of Eovaldi (26 yrs old), also having a better year than Walker.

You got the better end of that deal.

I honestly didn't think he was gonna be able to move him, so I didn't bother. That being said, I don't know if I could have given him what he wanted anyway. I may have considered something like Felix and Kemp for Stanton, but I don't know if that would have gotten it done, and I probably would have regretted trading away a SP as soon as the trade went through.

2 points

1- its a 20 team league, if Stanton is the guy you have heavily invested in as your premier player, and he is always getting hurt, chances are you're team is going to suffer. Their is a risk involved to owning Stanton

2- being a 20 tm league, the price of players is different from that of a smaller league. Could he have gotten more, maybe. But he gets a future stud 23yr old pitcher, and a guy in Carter that can supplement the power vacated by Stanton. His team got better.

If Carter maintains the power numbers, then he's a solid get.

Revere is barely rosterable right now.

I thought about it, but I need to bolster my pitching, not trade it away.

Carter will always mash homers. His drawback is a lackluster OBP, but thats not the end of the world. I agree about Revere.

I really would have bet that Revere was older than 28. Seems like he's been around for longer than that.

I'm not about patronizing or defending the owner o dealt with. Obviously I like the deal for me or else I wouldn't have done it

I'm not gonna tear down Sanchez or eovaldi, but walker has top 10 stuff, is 23, and built like a tank. Nearly 300 IP, I already took the lumps through his learning curve stage. It's all up from here

And knat is a willing dealer. It's dumb for others not send him an offer. He will at least work through a deal if there is mutual interest. We probably proposed 6 deals over the past few weeks w Stanton
