Didn’t I offer Pollock?

I swear I’m doing everything all wrong.

Combo of post allstar break numbers, always injured and changing teams, Im assuming his value is at its lowest point.

So you value Reyes over Pollock as well?

Your offers for him this offseason surely doesn’t support your opinion either.

No, I wasnt saying that, but understand him taking the risk on the power bat.

Obviously I want him, Ive sent you a bunch of deals for him. I was just saying there is some risk there.

Speaking of older OF with risk, has anyone heard from Knat?

Guessing they haven't had a trade declined from him since he hasn't logged on since early October. Maybe he answered an email?

Yes there is. That part I get. How much riskier is Reyes who as of now, looks like he’s going to be part of a OF platoon. With the depandacy on analytics nowadays, that’s all he may be. He’s a couple of cheeseburgers away from being a full time DH in a league that doesn’t have one. Domingo is a trade away from being Franmil. Gyno literally lost nothing in that deal.

Just another one of many terrible trades this off season. The art of the pump and dump takes another victim.

Yes, I’m sour.

papzy, if santana doesnt get traded he's worthless and martinez's arm could very well fall off. there is risk on both sides there. of course if santana gets dealt into a starting role id be happy

Franmil's hit tool already appears more advanced than Renfroe and Margot, and especially Franchy. Anyone reading into the analytics can see there is a somewhat projectable path there for a young 23 y/o, whether it be in SD OF or elsewhere.

Smith has a nice fantasy profile and that 1.10 will net a good player.

I wouldve considered Pollock hard but with CQQ window it may make more sense to load up on younger talent and let the chips fall where they may

Would have made the trade if the roles were reverse?

No need to try and sugar coat it.

You're looking at it through a vacuum. No one's arguing who the better player is but Pollack is gonna be 33 by the time I'm ready to compete. No need to be upset.

It’s those types of trades that screw up the league.

There isnt any sugar coating bubba. I will always favor the return one gets in such deals and shite on the other side. I'll always want the more "proven" commodity and will sell off a reyes. its why i dont have any homegrown talent. but i can usually see where both sides are coming from

in the process ive sent off guys like haniger, gregory polcanco, wilson contreras, newcomb, wheeler etc as young guys already in the MLB but not totally there yet.. for guys like jayson werth, posey, nelly, wade davis

there's risk/reward for both sides.

Santana could get dealt or could ride pine as insurance in MIL
Martinez could log 200 IP or his should could frick him up

Franmil could be a 35 HR bat at 23 or he could be a steaming pile of shite 4th OF
Smith could be a 20/20 MINF in a nice hitters park or a platoon role player
1.10, who knows

I find it insulting you’re actually trying to justify it.

I ask again. Is that a trade you make if the roles were reversed and you owned Martinez and Santana?

No. All that fluff is unecessary. It’s done.

you think im trying to justify a deal ive been trying to get done w/ CQQ for like 2 weeks now, I mean i did the trade Do you want me to say I like my side of the deal better

ive never had a shitty team in this league so i cant really speak on attempting to acquire multiple young assets in an rebuild attempt. i like reyes and I like smith so?

and youre trying to justify him trading for a 30 y/o who has played in 75, 12, 112, and 113 games in 4 of the last 5 years FOH papzy
