I'd probably go with this for an optimal lineup. Got to have Upton in there.

I just took the highest rated players at each position. Upton is top 100 as well, and he would slot into the U if i had done that for everyone. And yeah, Myers having 3B elig is nice, assuming he continues to maintain it.

#8 CQQ
Total Points: 8660
Number of Players on Top 600 List: 32
Number of Players in Top 100: 3
Number of Players in Top 200: 6

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Buster Posey
1B Brandon Belt
2B Adalberto Mondesi (assuming he remain eligible here)
3B Miguel Sano
SS Amed Rosario
OF Mallex Smith
OF Franchy Cordero
OF Monte Harrison

SP1 Carlos Martinez
SP2 Ian Anderson
SP3 Luiz Gohara
SP4 Trevor Williams
SP5 Sean Manaea
SP6 Franklin Perez
SP7 Sandy Alcantara

RP1 Jeurys Familia

Outlook: Seeing this team come out at #8 immediately made me hate going through all the work to do this shite. The good news is that CQQ has 32 players that made the Top 600. The bad news is that almost all of them are getting old, havent seen the majors yet, or just downright suck.

#7 Gyno
Total Points: 9248
Number of Players on Top 600 List: 26
Number of Players in Top 100: 6
Number of Players in Top 200: 11

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Yasmani Grandal
1B Joey Votto
2B Jonathan Villar
3B Manny Machado (big question on if he retains eligibility)
SS Didi Gregorius
OF Khris Davis (big question on if he retains eligibility)
OF Aaron Hicks
OF Randal Grichuk

SP1 Jacob deGrom
SP2 Luis Severino
SP3 Mike Clevinger
SP4 Charlie Morton
SP5 Jon Lester
SP6 Taylor Widener
SP7 N/A

RP1 Wade Davis
RP2 Brandon Morrow

Outlook: Lots of questions marks regarding eligibility moving forward for some of Gyno's key bats, but its not like he won't have a place to play them. The deGrom/Severino 1-2 punch is nasty. Age will be a concern in the coming years with Votto, Cruz, Lester due to begin their career fade. Lots of picks this year to plan for the future though.

Belt will be in a wheelchair by the time you are ready to compete. It's really just those two.

#6 Swamie
Total Points: 9259
Number of Players on Top 600 List: 28
Number of Players in Top 100: 6
Number of Players in Top 200: 12

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Gary Sanchez
1B Max Muncy
2B Scooter Gennett
3B Anthony Rendon
SS Corey Seager
OF Eddie Rosario
OF Tommy Pham
OF Taylor Trammell

SP1 Stephen Strasburg
SP2 Brent Honeywell
SP3 Ross Stripling
SP4 Dustin May
SP5 Griffin Canning
SP6 Marco Gonzales
SP7 Dereck Rodriguez

RP1 Chad Green

Outlook: Kind of a "work in progress" organization. The bats look to be lined up for years to come, although while Wander Franco was ranked in the top 100, there isn't a spot for him in the lineup at the moment (of course U is always an option). Pitching staff isn't the monster that it once was and will need a lot of those SPs to continue their development in order to be a threat for a ship in the coming years.

#5 Cwill
Total Points: 9590
Number of Players on Top 600 List: 23
Number of Players in Top 100: 9
Number of Players in Top 200: 13

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Tucker Barnhart
1B Cody Bellinger
2B Kolten Wong
3B Rafael Devers
SS Trea Turner
OF Christian Yelich
OF Andrew Benintendi
OF Nick Castellanos

SP1 Walker Buehler
SP2 Eduardo Rodriguez
SP3 Mike Soroka
SP4 Kevin Gausman
SP5 Marcus Stroman
SP6 Kolby Allard
SP7 Corbin Martin

RP1 Felipe Vazquez

Outlook: Cwill actually has a lot of dead weight on his roster, with 36% of his team not being ranked at all in the top 600. That being said, just about all of the ones that are ranked are skrong AF. Probably needs more firepower at SP in order to make waves this upcoming season, but the foundation is there.

#4 Dirt Dawgs
Total Points: 9678
Number of Players on Top 600 List: 32
Number of Players in Top 100: 5
Number of Players in Top 200: 14

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Salvador Perez
1B Matt Olson
2B Franklin Barreto
3B Travis Shaw
SS Trevor Story
OF Mitch Haniger
OF Yordan Alvarez
OF Drew Waters

SP1 Blake Snell
SP2 Trevor Bauer
SP3 Kyle Wright
SP4 David Price
SP5 Brusdar Graterol
SP6 Jhoulys Chacin
SP7 Aaron Sanchez

RP1 Josh Hader
RP2 Dellin Betances
RP3 Adam Ottavino
RP4 Seth Lugo

Outlook: While having no elite superstar at the moment, this organization doesn't have a lot of glaring weak spots, either. Solid from top to bottom.

#3 Papz
Total Points: 9679
Number of Players on Top 600 List: 31
Number of Players in Top 100: 6
Number of Players in Top 200: 9

Optimal Future Lineup:
C John Hicks
1B Freddie Freeman
2B Yoan Moncada
3B Josh Donaldson
SS Elvis Andrus
OF Mike Trout
OF Ronald Acuna
OF Juan Soto

SP1 Jesus Luzardo
SP2 Michael Wacha
SP3 Kenta Maeda (assuming he stays at SP)
SP4 Fernando Romero
SP5 Gio Gonzalez
SP6 Mike Minor
SP7 Danny Duffy

RP1 Aroldis Chapman
RP2 Ken Giles
RP3 Zach Britton
RP4 Jose Alvarado

Outlook: Three top ten players in Trout, Acuna, and Soto. Wow. Freeman and Donaldson aren't terrible, either. The pitching staff is kinda thrown together, but most of the SP have performed well at some point in their careers.

Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow said Monday that Lance McCullers could need surgery on his right elbow.

Luhnow said that the right-hander "has been seen by some doctors and I think we’re going to know more shortly," adding that if McCullers does wind up needing surgery, it would knock him out for the 2019 season. The Astros had referred to the injury that kept McCullers out for a chunk of the second half as a forearm strain, but Luhnow confirmed that it's an elbow issue and it sounds like it could be UCL-related. It appears that we might know more about McCullers' status later this week.

Not saying it's a great deal but, assuming both players miss 2019, Manaea won't pitch again til he's 28-1/2, McCullers at 26-1/2. Once he gets this surgery done, I'll take McCullers over Manaea.

Gave up 1.20 but still have 3 top 21 picks.

Terrible is pretty strong.
