Total Points: 6889
Number of Players on Top 600 List: 24
Number of Players in Top 100: 2
Number of Players in Top 200: 5

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Welington Castillo
1B Jake Bauers
2B Jonathan Schoop
3B Miguel Andujar
SS Jorge Polanco
OF Nomar Mazara
OF Alex Kiriloff
OF Billy Hamilton

SP1 Jon Duplantier
SP2 Tyler Skaggs
SP3 Zack Godley
SP4 Dane Dunning
SP5 Hyun-Jin Ryu
SP6 Dinelson Lamet
SP7 N/A

RP1 Jose Leclerc
RP2 Mychal Givens

Outlook: No mega stars on this squad, but a lot of young talent that could outperform their current ranking. No picks in the upcoming draft, so what you see is what you get.

Total Points: 7001

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Martin Maldonado
1B Ryon Healy
2B Rougned Odor

OF Odubel Herrera
OF Adan Eaton

SP1 Shohei Ohtani
SP2 Justus Sheffield
SP3 Carlos Rodon
SP4 Justin Dunn
SP5 Jorge Guzman
SP6 N/A
SP7 N/A

Outlook: Lots of holes to fill on this team, but Chapman has become a guy, and Ohtani still has a lot of value even if he doesn't pitch again. The third overall pick in the upcoming draft will be added to this squad.

SP7 N/A

RP1 Arodys Vizcaino
RP2 Cody Allen
RP3 Tony Watson

Outlook: This seems to be a more finished and complete team than the ones that have already been ranked. That doesn't necessarily mean its a good team, but there are some options. Three picks coming this year, but probably only one that will be able to snag a potential impact player.

#14 Chat
Total Points: 7213
Number of Players on Top 600 List: 26
Number of Players in Top 100: 5
Number of Players in Top 200: 9

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Austin Hedges
1B Paul Goldschmidt
2B Dee Gordon
3B Evan Longoria
SS Jean Segura
OF David Dahl
OF Ender Inciarte
OF Corey Dickerson

SP1 Noah Syndergaard
SP2 Corey Kluber
SP3 Masahiro Tanaka
SP4 Max Fried
SP5 Joey Wentz
SP6 Mike Leake
SP7 N/A

RP1 Edwin Diaz
RP2 Andrew Miller
RP3 Alex Colome

Outlook: I had do review the spreadsheet and make sure something wasn't calculated wrong when I saw Chat listed this low. However, when you look at the optimal lineup, it doesn't really make you shite yourself like it used to. Having Thor, Klubot, and Edwin Diaz on the same team is fapworthy, but there isn't much after that on the staff.

Number of Players in Top 100: 5
Number of Players in Top 200: 11

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Robinson Chirinos
1B Ryan McMahon
2B Keston Hiura
3B Jose Ramirez
SS Willy Adames
OF Aaron Judge
OF David Peralta
OF Hunter Renfroe

SP1 Clayton Kershaw
SP2 Jose Berrios
SP3 Kyle Freeland
SP4 Hunter Greene
SP5 AJ Puk
SP6 Michael Fulmer
SP7 Dakota Hudson

RP1 Raisel Iglesias
RP2 Seranthony Dominguez

Outlook: Our first team on the countdown with some significant star quality. Ramirez and Judge anchoring the offense, and two top 20 pitchers in Kershaw and Berrios. Lots of young arms on the way as well, assuming they can avoid injury. Puk already delayed due to his. There are still some holes on the team that will need to be addressed in order to take the next step IMO.

That’s why I like doing rankings based off of someone else’s projections. I’m not saying it, Steamers is saying it.

Also, that should be

#12 OMT
Total Points: 8059
Number of Players on Top 600 List: 24
Number of Players in Top 100: 7
Number of Players in Top 200: 10

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Austin Allen
1B Anthony Rizzo
2B Brandon Lowe
3B Nolan Arenado
SS Francisco Lindor
OF Mookie Betts
OF Jo Adell
OF Kyle Schwarber

SP1 Chris Sale
SP2 German Marquez
SP3 Chris Archer
SP4 Kyle Hendricks
SP5 Alex Wood
SP6 Jake Arrieta
SP7 Cal Quantrill

RP1 Will Smith

Outlook: This is the first one that I just can't agree with when I give it the eye test. How can an organization with the #2 overall player (Betts), #4 overall player (Lindor), and #1 SP (Sale) be outside of the Top 10? Oh, and there's also Arenado and Rizzo in the lineup. Those five guys are very young and move the needle so much that it really doesn't matter if the rest of the organization is subpar, which it really isn't. This team will be a force for a while as long as the owner doesn't frick it up.

Number of Players in Top 100: 6
Number of Players in Top 200: 9

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Willson Contreras
1B Yonder Alonso
2B Wilmer Flores
3B Colton Welker
SS Alex Bregman (assuming he continues to retain eligibility here)
OF Bryce Harper
OF Starling Marte
OF Byron Buxton

SP1 Jameson Taillon
SP2 Forrest Whitley
SP3 Dallas Keuchel
SP4 Jonathan Loaisiga
SP5 Michel Baez
SP6 Cole Hamels
SP7 Adonis Medina

Outlook: Young and very talented offense. Lots of SP that are ranked pretty high, but a good bit of them haven't proven it yet and need to do so in order for the team to continue to make the climb.

Total Points: 8428
Number of Players on Top 600 List: 26
Number of Players in Top 100: 7
Number of Players in Top 200: 9

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Mitch Garver
1B Ian Desmond
2B Ozzie Albies
3B Kyle Seager
SS Jorge Mateo
OF Charlie Blackmon
OF Marcell Ozuna
OF Will Myers

SP1 Max Scherzer
SP2 Mike Foltynewicz
SP3 Lance McCullers
SP4 Sean Newcomb
SP5 Touki Toussaint
SP6 Joe Musgrove
SP7 Bryce Wilson

RP1 Corey Knebel
RP2 Archie Bradley
RP3 AJ Minter

Outlook: Glaring holes at C, 1B, and SS, but a solid group of young arms that have the potential to grow into solid contributors. RDR does enough tinkering via trades and free agency to make things work from season to season.

I'd probably go with this for an optimal lineup. Got to have Upton in there.

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Mitch Garver
1B Ian Desmond
2B Ozzie Albies
3B Wil Myers
SS Dansby Swanson
OF Charlie Blackmon
OF Marcell Ozuna
OF Justin Upton

#9 Rondo
Total Points: 8553
Number of Players on Top 600 List: 29
Number of Players in Top 100: 5
Number of Players in Top 200: 9

Optimal Future Lineup:
C Sean Murphy
1B Carlos Santana
2B Isan Diaz
3B Maikel Franco
SS Royce Lewis
OF Eloy Jimenez
OF Kyle Tucker
OF Jesus Sanchez

SP1 Aaron Nola
SP2 Jack Flaherty
SP3 Sixto Sanchez
SP4 Mackenzie Gore
SP5 Zack Wheeler
SP6 Matt Manning
SP7 Adrian Morejon

RP1 Shane Greene
RP2 Kelvin Herrera

Outlook: No sane person would take this organization over one like, say, OMT's, who is at #12. Rondo's team is getting a big bump because of FUTURE value and not current value. There are tons of players in the above optimal lineup that haven't proven a thing at the major league level, and while Eloy, Tucker, Lewis, Sixto, Gore, and company are nice prospect eye candy, you can't guarantee their future success. Certainly an organization to keep an eye on in the upcoming years, though.
