yea, I don't think turning it down was a bad move or anything, was just trying my best.

Would you have taken a bregman for him? Maybe i should have waited?

According to Jon Heyman of Fancred Sports, the agents for White Sox top prospect Eloy Jimenez are considering filing a grievance over his lack of a promotion to the majors.

"How can you say with a straight face this guy needs to work on anything?," Paul Kinzer, the president of Rep1 baseball agency, told Heyman. "What’s he need to work on?" It's a fair point, as Jimenez has posted an incredible .365/.406/.604 batting line with 11 home runs and 32 RBI in 51 games at Triple-A Charlotte, after slashing .317/.368/.556 with 10 homers and 42 RBI in 53 games for Double-A Birmingham. White Sox player development director Chris Getz said earlier this month that the 21-year-old was "really close" to being called up, but it obviously hasn't happened yet.

At this point he's unlikely to get the ABs to pass the rookie threshold... might as well call him up and see what he can do.

Guess they are waiting for September roster expansions.

USA Today's Bob Nightengale reports that the White Sox will not call up top prospect Eloy Jimenez in September.

That's been the way it's looking for a while, unfortunately. Jimenez clearly has nothing left to prove in the minors, putting up a ridiculous .341/.387/.585 batting line with 22 home runs and 75 RBI between Double- and Triple-A this season. The 21-year-old seems likely to debut a few weeks into next season after the White Sox have successfully secured additional contract control.
