Curious why you are limiting yourself to just closers. Plenty of dominant holds guys out there with high k/9.

I'd like some Trivino.

Bc save opps are unpredictable as is, holds even more so. Lotta teams with varying late inning roles. If someone out there is selling an established, dominant hold guy they havent contact me yet but i would certainly listen

Those stats are why he's sitting at 99th on my rankings. Meanwhile Harvey made himself a nice little 17 spot jump up to 134 since yesterday.

Those little 2-3 start samples are what led to picking up players like Dereck Rodriguez (86th) and Anibal Sanchez (69th, which with a good game tonight against the Yankees would be a great buy low btw.)

But velocity increases plus small sample also led to Jordan Lyles (138th) who was pumping 96 with a CB and CH with double digit whiff rates until he was stretched out and came back to earth. And Dylan Covey who's velo chart looks like a 2006-2008 housing graph.

Point is, ol Wade LeBlanc has just been cruising along not really hurting, not really helping much either since he doesn't get through 6 too often, usually ranking in the 80s-90s...for free.

But maybe Harvey is back and makes LeBlanc look like Bartolo, someone will just have to pay to find out.

Difference being lyles is a career 5+ guy and has never been good, same with Covey and his career 6.54

Harvey has a 5.52 over his past 266 IP and still has a career 3.68. Point being, guys like Covey and Lyles never had "it". There are cases every year (shite every month) where some nobody will flash in a similar fashion w/ no staying power. Harvey had top 5 stuff at one point. Remember the guy had a TJ, and then a thoratic outler (I said he'd never comeback from when dudes were trading for him in other leagues fwiw)

MH is a popular whipping boy but if you read up on TOS it's a very taxing procedure for a pitcher. shite took tyson ross 3 years to regain any semblance of his old self and his perseverance is praise. MH is right around that time frame as well but dude gets hammered, prob bc of NY

prob will be me

it's funny, i got the dude "on the cheap" by adding him via FA. You don't get him "on the cheap" in a trade - meaning im not trading him for a GD free agent type of player. Harvey could implode next start but still aint worth some shitstain i wouldnt add off FA

I'd bet that most (if not all) of the other 19 teams would pick him up if you dropped him, but there probably aren't more than a small handful that would give anything of value for him in a trade. Comes down to that trust issue you speak of.

He's not expensive, though. Potential to get expensive if it holds up. IMO that's just the type of guy you want to trade for

Exactly, I'd add him but I wouldn't trade a known, proven player for him...too much uncertainty at this point.

i dont have anyone that fits what you are looking for. My only closer just landed on the DL. I have a few swiss army types (Happ, Profar), but I value them more than Harvey in terms of future value.

Probably should just keep him if you wont accept Trevino for him.

It's a shitty landscape for sure right now.

And no hate trying to trade him since it is a position of strength, though if he's to be believed you would be better off trading Ross and Keuchel.

Redd flooded the market with good pitching though so it'll be interesting to see if someone really wants good pitching or just speculate.

There's really one player OTB that is young and can fetch top talent. Two if you count Bogaerts but I don't know if he's OTB or just hasn't been changed out.

i wouldnt even think to offer him for happ

i would consider profar a fair offer, prob not during that hot 10 game stretch, but he is 9 for his last 40 and has settled in a bit. I understand the ageism at play though and would not fault an owner who valued him

swam, i have tried to trade kuechel and ross, harvey is a hotter name as I have received 5 offers on him. could not even sell the former two for a pick to the few inquiries i made

i gave a trivino strong consideration

i know there are owners who are intrigued by harvey, they are too scared right now, i dont have a problem holding harvey and hoping to get more if the right offer isnt there. if he sucks im not gonna say awe shucks i missed out on Lee Trevino
