Pretty certain he wanted to trade with someone behind him in the standings.

He has other reasons as well, but I he didn’t want to be helping anyone he’s trying to catch.

I thought a Khrush+MiLB piece for Bummy would have made sense

Damn, thats a big offer he turned down. This was an offer he made to me. He was turning down everything I offered.

Seems like he talked himself out of a better trade. Which is it - Is MadBum going to regress enough that he didnt want him on his own team anymore or is he going to help someone enough that he didnt want to trade him to someone higher in the standings? Can't let standings dictate how you feel about a player. Stick to your guns if you think he will regress and take the best offer.

T, that’s speculation on my part.

All I know is what I offered and the small communication we had prior to him moving Bummy

B2B years with injuries? I’m still buying.

But for DD, he’s third in the league in pitching without Bum (and added Strickland earlier) and 10th in hitting.

Was his chance to strike hot and get a big time bat

ATV accident and hit in the hand by a line drive tho

I don’t mind the trade fwiw. I like Haniger and Uriah. I’d always shop a perennial top 7 arm tho

When you see Cobb and Giolito starting

Then they both get a QS, Stripling only goes 5 bc Chris Taylor bobbles a DP ball, and Pham grounds into a force out with the bases loaded then somehow gets picked off at 3rd.

Beeks will take the place of Drew Pomeranz, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Tuesday with biceps tendinitis. He's been excellent for Triple-A Pawtucket in 2018, registering a 2.56 ERA and striking out 80 hitters in his 56 2/3 innings.

If you survive Scherzer and Stripling x2, Strasburg, Marco and now Beeks...you earned it.

No, no, no. He's what people wanted Beiber and Santana to be this year.
