I see your position Marle and if you guys determine Reddfig needs to go back and execute these trades and get legal between each one, I'm sure he can do it.
And him doing that extra work doesn't affect me in the slightest.
I was really just pointing out that Papz' transgression is not even remotely close to what Reddfig did last night.

I've always gone with intent of the rule, and the intent of this one was that no one can stash multiple players on the DL during the off-season if they want to make other moves. They have to get down to a basic legal lineup to make add/drops and trades. It wasn't to prevent someone from making multiple trades because their lineup was illegal for a few minutes in between.

It's not one of the bigger issues in the league but you pretty much just changed the whole rule we had in place.
Again , it's not about the end result and that it is right now. We get that.

let me ask you this Ron. If I'm eyeing a prospect I want in the FA pool, are you ok with me picking him up and putting him on my MLB bench while I wait to make a trade to make room for him?

There is a common sense factor involved, IMO. If it's obvious that there is no intent to deceive or take advantage of a situation, I don't see what the big deal is. Had the first trade been the only one made last night, I would have dropped Perdomo or Diaz and picked up Owings.
What would have been worse: how it went down last night, or me letting Happ sit on my major league roster for a month leading up to the draft? One situation is actively working to fix an illegal lineup. The other one is going against the spirit of a rule.
It's one thing to have a situation like I had for all of a few minutes and was actively addressing the situation. It's a totally different thing to have it linger on for days and days waiting for the right situation or trade to go down.

Some of y'all need to lighten up. He made some trades and corrected his lineup quickly. Y'all sit there looking for something to bitch about. Go have a morning beer and find something truly important to get wrapped around the axle over. Redd wasn't trying to deceive anyone and y'all know it. Sometimes when making trades you need to post-adjust your lineup.

You have to announce who you are dropping (and/or shuffling) as a corresponding move to each pick.
Same as any other add/drop would work.
