Jamesy, there are no good pitchers on FA, this there is no such thing as a good matchup. There is no skill involved streaming a few IP when you have literally nothing to lose.

I'd like to ask you to reconsider next time you attemp this strategy

I beg to differ. RDR streamed and Gary Bonds me right out of the playoffs last year. Dude made three pick-up stream starts that won it for him.

Did you feel you had the better team that week?

The way he managed, yeh, he did, he had the better team for the week. Dude played it perfectly that week with his streams.

I can't believe you are this salty about someone else's management. I can believe it, but I don't want to.

Because Strasburg was on paternity leave, I had zero two start SP and my first rostered pitcher didn't go until Friday. If I didn't pick up another SP, I finish with 36.1 IP for the week. That's living too close to the edge.

Once Marquez got bombed, I should take my lumps and punt a winnable cat? Naw.

You also fail to accept that if I don't stream that last SP, you don't win K/9 and NOTHING changes about the score.

I'm not salty about your management, more about the fact that one is able to win a cat in such a manner. It's not your fault

But you should take your lumps next time swamsy. I hope you at least consider changing your ways next time the opportunity presents itself

I wouldn't respect anyone who didn't do whatever was in the rules to win a cat.

I know you and others have a disdain for IP, but what about this scenario.

OMT wanted to catch me in K/9 so he picks up Gallardo and damn near does it.

Or you take a big lead in NSB, so I just start picking up the Dysons and Janikowskis of the trash heap to catch up and it works.

Those aren't as automatic as IP, but as Conley and Sanchez showed this week, nobody is promised at least 5 IP.

I could've won IP today and refrained from such a tactic, B. Someone has to start the movement and live by the golden rule

I hope to have chance to one day win back your respect

This is just my opinion swams, if you want to hear it I'll tell ya.

There are instances when streaming is strategic and takes skill. This isn't a black and white situation

If you stream a hitter who mashes lefties and he gets you the bomb you need, that's a great move. If he fails it affects you %

The SB thing, great. They are hard to come by, guy has to get on base and steal successfully and there are negative consequences if caught

Pitching cats are tricky, bc there are instances every week where there is nothing to lose. They are treated on a case to case basis

This is just my personal views. I enjoy playing with the team I've built with the least amount of outside influence as possible. I like to see where it stands vs similar teams like yours. I like leaving the cheap streams to the owners who will never win in these leagues
