Everyone has 16 players now.
We can't put the rest of the players on waivers because of how we did the slow draft, so everyone in the f/a pool is unrestricted. Should not be that big of a deal.

So is it a gentleman's agreement to lock/freeze rosters?
Or it's a FA free-for-all because we can't?

The players who are left were undrafted. Use your waiver priority on a free agent that hits it big, not a scrub who just went undrafted.

You can add whoever is available, yes. That's not "waivers" that's free agency, but I think that is what you are asking.

Yes. Okay, when you said "use your waiver priority" I got confused. If that was the case, then we'd have a waiver period then a FA period after.
I'm 100% now. We're in an open season free agency period. All teams can add/drop players at will from the pool available, first come, first serve.
At some point later - start of season or ?? - we'll start actual priority waivers.

If someone is dropped, they become a restricted F/A so really waivers starts any time a player is dropped. You can make a claim on that player. I think they are in the player pool for a full day. If no one makes a claim, they become a UFA that anyone can pick up without a claim.
When the season starts, waivers will run like Tuesday night I believe for all of the players that were not on rosters while games were being played. Then after waivers they go back to EFAs.

Lewis practiced at June minicamp, but he hasn't been seen at all at training camp. He's currently on the active/PUP list, and there's been very little word on his recovery since he tore his ACL back in November. Opening the season on reserve/PUP would cost Lewis at least the first six weeks. The Patriots are a team to watch at final cuts next month when running backs hit the market.
