I actually like Scott a lot. He's quick and runs hard. If Benson was done for the year, he'd be a top 15 RB

I am not saying that Scott will light it up like Larry, I'm just saying that if some teams need RB help for a few weeks, Scott wouldn't be a bad option to watch. You could do much worse.

Foster isn't injured for the year. He will be back in 3 games or less.

I don't doubt this, but do you really think Houston is going to stick Tate back on the bench and only give him limited touches because Foster is back? I see them getting a split like Bradshaw and Jacobs.

quote:

Even if Tate and Scott shine, they will still only split time with Foster and Benson when they come back. They aren't going to all of a sudden carry the ball 30 times while Foster/Benson ride the pine. This diminishes all 4 guys' value.

I think it diminishes Benson/Fosters value, but adds value to Tate/Scott especially in garbage time blowouts. I don't think either is a bad investment for plug and play situations (if Scott actually performs as well as Tate).

I don't think people are looking at threads like this and thinking they will find the next Larry Johnson. But in H2H the extra points from having a starting running back in flex in a bye week over Reggie Bush or some WR3 may be the difference in making the playoffs and missing them.

Goose, it's not a bad investment at all. I'd pick up Tate and Scott in a heartbeat if I hadn't already

And I never said anything about dropping Demarco Murray for him, Danny. Keep up slugger.

Na, you just broadly mocked everyone for claiming Scott as a savior. Unfortunately no one did. Only one person mentioned who they dropped, and it was a handcuff...

I tried to drop Steven Jackson for him because Jackson is hurt and in for a bad season, but ESPN wouldn't let me.

Picked him up. In a 12 team league and backs are few and far between. I don't see myself ever playing him (maybe week 5 when I have a bunch if guys on byes) but I am going go be THAT GUY and make sure no one else can have him.

Nothing wrong with that.. that's the only reason Thomas Jones is on my roster.
