Brees or Mahomes?

I am FFB rookie, and this board is amazing for someone like me, so thanks to all of you. I have some pretty big holes in my roster, and feel like holding on to both QB's is probably not the right play. I think I need a WR but a good RB wouldn't hurt either. What would be the best value given the weakness of my roster?

PPR

My Team
QB:
Mahomes
Brees
RB:
K. Hunt
A. Collins
P. Lindsay
R. Penny
T. Cohen
WR:
D. Hopkins
R. Woods
L. Fitzgerald
C. Davis
J. Nelson
TE:
A. Sefarian-Jenkins

I’d probably target an RB first, but you could use another guy at RB, WR, and TE. I would float some offers out and see what you can get for either one- probably at least a top 20 RB or WR.

This may seem elementary, but you did say you were a FFB rookie- make sure you think about any trade being offered from the other guy’s position, and whether it makes sense for their team as well. Nobody wants their time wasted.

Thanks to you both

Going to try for either Davante Adams or David Johnson. My available trade partners are pretty limited. Probably going to let go of Mahomes, but feel like I will regret this.

You can do better than David Johnson. He’s having what seems like a slump year which how bad Arizona are this year

highly doubt you're going to get better than David Johnson for Brees/Mahomes.
If you can make that trade, do it for sure.

For a QB? In a 1 QB league QB value is seriously diminished when there’s this much scoring going on. You can stream QBs and easily be finding a top 10 option week to week. With that said many people will over value QBs and that’s good for you OP. If people really think you could do better than David Johnson then by all means aim higher. However, I’d accept just about any RB2/WR2. Mahomes isn’t keeping this pace. He’s been great, but if he keeps this pace he’s gonna have the greatest season a QB has ever had. You’re right in trying to sell Mahomes, he’s the poster boy for a sell high candidate.

I'd sell Mahomes. Brees has proven that he's a fantasy starter with many years of consistency. Mahomes is on fire, so he has more trade value.

I would shop one ASAP and expect great value in return. Obv go look at teams in your league weak at QB and then target one of their best non-QB options
